First visit for the four of us, what a fantastic tea room, food 10 out of 10, staff 10 out of 10 also the property was spotless....I'll be back.

·

What a lovely tea room, cosy atmosphere wide variety of food, excellent scones, herb and cheese, coffee excellent, we highly recommend it.

This is a traditional English tea shop in the truest sense of the word.Homemade cakes, sandwiches, soups' pies and puddings.Lots of comfort food; especially the Corned beef pie and the Homemade Toffee apple sponge pudding with custard. The chantry also serves baked potatoes, fresh salads and quiches'.At the time of our visit; October half term, The chantry was a 'cash only' establishment. The chantry is quite snug. There are only half a dozen or so tables. A traditional doorstep entrance, means that wheelchair entry could prove difficult if not impossible.

This place is very nice and clean inside and outside where the toilets are. We had a very warm welcome, only one waitress but she did the service extremely well. Very attentive with all the tables. The main meal was excellent with all details, dessert cooked with love and very well presented.Prices where on the table and daily menu hunggin on the wall. Reasonable prices.

Highly sanitised watched staff fully clean table, chairs and higechair after other customers left... food too delicious to photograph.... this was a wholemeal cherry and almond scone... nom nom.

Friendly service and covid safe. Spent a lovely morning there. Their fruit scone is definitely one of the best I have ever had. Good food and very cozy as well.

Delicious food and incredible scones. The staff were really lovely and the food was so good. We felt very safe there, everything was clean and staff were so helpful. I think the scones may have been the best I’ve ever had. A lovely first trip back inside.
