The Cheviot Hotel in Northumberland

Great place for food and drink, great atmosphere, really welcoming staff! We spent 2 nights eating and drinking here and it absolutely made our Weekend!

Good choice of ales from Hadrian's Brewery. A range of food to eat throughout the day, as well as, a take away service later on. Friendly and welcoming.

Been here 4 times now we love the village Bellingham its so friendly and scenic. The Cheviot Hotel is dog friendly which is great for us as we like to take our dog everywhere, it serves lovely home cooked food and the staff couldn't be more helpful. We took friends with us this time and they say they will definitely go back as would we of course.

Room was very clean and bathroom was spacious. The complimentary breakfast was very delicious and quite large. Friendly staff.

Lovely local pub. Amazing gammon steak. Dealt with issues with second meal well. We appreciated their good customer service.

From checking in to checking out, we had a fantastic stay!Family room booked - superb room, spacious, huge king bed, even the single was huge and both very very comfy! Fantastic decor and great selection of teas coffees and biscuits all well presented!We had to main meals and a child’s meal in the restaurant, all the food was delicious and really well priced!Good beers in the cosy bar, open fire…perfect!!Breakfast was amazing too! Fresh cooked, tasty egg sausage and bacon! Our little one didn’t eat much but the staff offered her something else in case she didn’t like hers…not many places would do this!The staff make a hotel and everyone we met were welcoming, polite, attentive and very professional!I won’t hesitate to visit again!!

Picked from reviews, although those dating back to 2016 were largely ignored as potentially irrelevant. Walking through the door, the wooden floor gave a country feel to the pub. There were two menus available, one with starter and mains and the other, from which we chose bacon,brie and cranberry with a portion of chips, was a bar snack menu. All was good and this is a pub which can be recommended. Soft drinks were the order as I was driving.

We had supper on the 9th September. Fish and chips and gammon was lovely and freshly cooked. Beer was properly looked after and was excellent.Lovely cheery staff from the lovely young girl behind the bar to the cheery lady who brought us our food.
