It's in my area where I live within walking distance so it's not bad for a quick drink and perhaps a meal outside on lovely sunny day.Fair prices unsure on rooms as I don't stay here... drinks and food is lovely especially if your into cocktails 🍸 limited ones though but they are all nice!

Superb value for money for such a beautiful room with a stunning view.Great menus + generous portions from the onsite restaurant /pub with excellent service. The surrounding area is very beautiful too. It'd be even better if the sign showing the reception for hotel check-in was bigger and in a more prominent location. Thanks a lot! It was a great stay.

Decided to visit for an early evening meal. Lovely staff, happy to accommodate us without booking in advance. Restaurant area was lovely.Meals were very average/poor. I ordered the chicken curry. It was ok, not a lot of flavour, but not awful. My husband ordered the mixed grill, again not great, his steak which he ordered medium was rare. The member of staff was apologetic and took it away, then returned asking if he wanted the same piece of meat, which had been cut up, cooked a bit more by the chef? He eventually received a new steak cooked well but by this time we had finished our meal. The wine we ordered was also warm! So disappointing.. not dreadful but won't return.

The hotel is very nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are polite and friendly. My advice would be not to eat in the hotel. It's hard to produce chips that are cold, soggy and greasy but the chef here managed it! The rest of the food is pub grub and very average. Breakfast is fine if you eat a full English otherwise there's a poor choice.Unfortunately, Blyth is rather run down and in need of money to be invested in it. But it is an excellent base for exploring the area. Truthfully, I could reccomend the hotel but not Blyth itself.

Absolutely brilliant, cannot fault a single thing. We stayed with chase our collie and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Perfect location and just a lovely place to stay! As you can see @chasethecolliemix made himself very comfy!

Loved it here. Our room was great, fabulous seaview, couldn't fault anything. The staff were really friendly. We would definitely go back. Also, we would visit other hotels within their group because of the experience we had at The Commissioners Quay. Highly recommended.

My favourite place to stay when coming up north to see family , sad to hear Tracy was leaving as she always made us feel at home. Love the fact we can bring our dog with us too and the staff are always very accommodating. The only down side to our visit ( the only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating ) was the food. Cremated chips and a fish that was very soggy and inedible, the staff did offer a replacement. Assuming either a temp chef was in house or a novice , every other visit we’ve made the food was cooked to perfection each time.I would still stay here in the future as it’s a family favourite 😁

Lovely place.Amazing rooms;spacious, clean,no intrusive noise from other guests, fantastic views of the sea and the morning sunrise in rooms to the front-well worth the extra money for a balcony room.Spacious restaurant with lots of places for a single traveller to sit and feel comfortable and the staff really looked after you.The food was very nice also;the breakfast was excellant.

Great hotel, bedroom was spacious although it does need two comfy chairs not one, the room is big enough to take it. The shower head could be bigger . We had a lovely room with a balcony, lovely watching the sunrise. Ate in the hotel for evening meal, it was very chilly, we found out the next morning they had issue with heating. The food was delicious but we headed up to our room straight after as it was just too cold to enjoy drinks. Would I recommend this hotel, yes I would.

Lovely place. Food was good, perhaps a little overpriced but it is in a great location. Had the steak and kidney pudding, delish, and real mashed potato. Partner had the chicken curry, really good and homemade chips were perfection. Defo will come back.
