The Crown Inn in Northumberland

Been for dinner a couple of times and love the atmosphere of this local pub with good choice of beers and very good food. The service is friendly and relaxed - a perfect evening

This is a lovely pub, really nice atmosphere and great staff. The meals ( for meat eaters) are excellent and the hand cut chunky chips amazing. However I’m rating at a 4 as we had a vegan in our party and the one choice ( falafel and salad) was very poor and overpriced in comparison to our meals. It’s such a shame as this pub was excellent in all other respects and - for our party - the fact there were no better vegan options would prevent us from eating there again as a group.

Super place. Family run business, which reflects with excellent food and service. Decor of the place is fun and stylish at the same time. Even the youngest member of the family who served us at the table add something to this pleasant experience. his polite attitude and radiant smile. Will be back, thank you

Good choice of beer, food was excellent, even my mother's constant inane talking throughout couldn't take anything away. Service excellent, my mother paid, not with her money, as always and she never leaves a tip, witches apparently don't, so I did. My step father's in a wheelchair, so you might even know who she is!

Fantastic menu. Stayed at a local hotel and visited last Saturday night for my tea. They squeezed me in. Absolutely recommend calling to make a reservation as it was booming with a busy friendly atmosphere. Absolutely gorgeous surf and turf. Steak cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Delicious fresh salad full of peppers and crunch. Chips were crispy on the outside and soft and perfectly cooked in the middle. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Very reasonably priced for the high quality of the food. Cute selection of vintage cars outside worth having a little look at.

Lovely pub, very good range of real ale. Friendly staff, good atmosphere. Good pub food. Had fish and chips, good portions, lovely handcut chips. Parking available out the front of pub, even had room for a tank!

Lovely bar with an eclectic mix of curios, good selection of drinks including real ales. Simple bar menu but it is home cooking at it's very best. A warm welcome from everyone. It also has a great beer garden. Wish we were staying in the village longer as would definitely use the Crown again.

Great location, good food and heat ale. Wonderful locals and the staff was excellent. Highly recommended!

Just passing through so I thought I'd just have a burger, was amazed at how much flavour it had. Served with real, thick cut chips and a generous salad, it was a real treat. I expect this will be the first of many visits. (update, I'm now a regular, even have a "usual" order, though I do experiment, too).

Absolutely fantastic. We've been a few times but everytime has been Incredible food, friendly helpful staff. We live in Hexham but I would rather travel that little bit to get the outstanding food, atmosphere and reception you get at the crown
