We had our mini-moon here and it was fabulous. The view from the room is superb, you're so close to the sea that you can smell it when you open the doors! They've invested well in the property; the rooms are modern, tasteful and beautifully kept, the bar area is cosy with a good selection of ales and wines and the restaurant boasts sea views and excellent food; steak and half a lobster was so good! The girls who run it, Lisa and Kelly, are lovely and will do all they can for you.Highly recommended, will be back!

Unfriendly man behind the bar who made us feel uncomfortable, we asked to order food but we were told no and to come back in 15 minutes to order, so we just ordered with another member of staff who served us straight away. Nice location and food was good but unfriendly staff, which is a shame given it’s the only pub the the immediate area.

Wjhat a lovely place. Beautiful rooms clean and luxurious. The staff here were really friendly nothing was too much trouble and they make you feel really special. A fantastic breakfast both mornings served by a lovely member of staff on Saturday and Sunday ( sorry I don’t know your name) Would definitely recommend this for a stay. Would love to come back here in the future

One of the best Sunday lunches we have had. Steak & Ale pie was amazing too. So pleased we found this gem & will definitely return

Lovely little Inn with fantastic views over the Northumberland coast line. Had a really tasty lunch. The bar area looks cosy when you come in with the roaring log fire,it would have been nice to stay a bit longer

5 star for food but 6 for the service! We been during half term with kids and the woman who has served us was so kind and fun with the kids. We really enjoyed the see view.

Absolutely brilliant stay. The room was super. Staff were excellent, very attentive. Great choice of food, which was most enjoyable. Wish we could have stayed much longer.

We had the best 3 days staying in the Captains Cove room as a belated anniversary celebration. The room is beautiful and the views just fantastic even with a little rain! We were lucky enough to enjoy two beautiful sunrises however. The food in the Seaview Restaurant was delicious. Special mention for Lisa, Kelly and Anita who were excellent waitresses, very friendly and welcoming as when we visited for lunch a month earlier. We also enjoyed the local banter on the Sunday evening, great fun. Thank you all very much until next time! X

Really nice pub, restaurant with fabulous views across the bay. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for shellfish and fish. The pub is not dog friendly and although parking in the pub car park,we were not allowed access to the restaurant and while I understand this ,we were directed to the outdoor area, accessable only by a long walk via the beach, where we had to suffer walking through clouds of sand flies.Shame really.

A “ staff retrain” is needed……..My wife and I, along with my in-laws, visited The Fishing Boat Inn today, Wednesday the 29th of September (2021). We were met, rather than greeted, by a waitress with an attitude problem. When you are “ front of house”, meeting and greeting customers, it’s important, no, imperative, to have someone with a happy, smiling face, someone that will make the customers feel welcome & to want to relax & have a great experience. Sadly, this was lacking when we arrived, maybe a staff “ retrain” is needed.Anyway, on to the rest of the review. We were shown to our table by a lovely, friendly waitress named Lisa. She took our drink orders and after giving us time to decide what we were going to have, came and took our food orders. When the food arrived it was, WOW!!!!! the portions were big, piping hot and very well presented. I had the Fish Pie, which was delicious and the rest of the family had the Steak Pie which , again was delicious with Lisa remarking that we must have enjoyed the meals as there was nothing left on our plates. We finished with Ginger pudding and custard, again, delicious. Overall, a great experience.
