The Granby Inn in Northumberland

Tuesday is tapas day. We were lucky to be there to enjoy the British tapas! Their food are fantasic! And staff are friendly. We had a lovely evening. We would love to come back!

Lovely thick roast beef and lots of it . Actual killer Sunday roast and great value with normal Sunday prices even on Mother's day where most other establishments would stick on a premium. Nice morreti too. 10/10 Great service Great chef.

We found The Granby to be welcoming and friendly, the food and service in the resturant were excellent, to stay however the accommodation side is a step back in time to British Pub 1970's. Remove the woodchip wallpaper, apply the resturant decor to the rooms, sort out the bathrooms with modern showers etc. and it would be much better.

Ordered a roast beef dinner for 2 was with us within the hour. Plenty of food and the beef was so tender and juicy !

Excellent food with focus on fresh, local produce and all homemade including turkey/mushroom pie, steak/ale pie & cottage pie & the sticky toffee pudding (delicious!).Roaring log fire & friendly welcoming staff.It is so refreshing to find a restaurant (& believe us we had to search & it was SO worth it) which is primarily food & customer friendly rather than 'dog friendly' as we definitely do not appreciate eating with dogs! If you love home made food, tasty & wholesome & exceptionally well presented with fresh veg you will love this restaurant. We will be returning again for the third time before we return home from our holiday in northumberland.

On visiting here for the first time we did not recieve a friendly welcome, my father tried to strike up conversation on a number of ocasions however this was ignored. Such a shame that non locals are not welcomed as the food was really good. As we felt uncomfortable we quickly finished our food & drinks , we hadnt even asked for the bill and this was rudely thrown down onto the table.

Lovely food had lunch going back for steak night Monday tonite. Friendly staff and nice place for a meal.

First visit here, as we happen to be in the area. A lovely country pub, great welcome from the owner. Good food, the steak was really good, as was my burger. So stuffed after mains and starters we couldn't even consider dessert.

Spent three nights here on holiday. We were made extremely welcome and our rooms were very clean including the en suites.The breakfasts were served quickly freshly prepared. The poached eggs were perfect and the needs of individuals taken care of with a smile.The evening meals were excellent and fully prepared on site. The desserts are delicious.Though I've given five stars the decore and flooring are perhaps in need of an update but in my opinion don't take away from a good experience.
