Just finished a two night stay here in Lapwing. We have stayed in this room before. It’s very spacious and has a settee. The bathroom is a good size and the shower is huge. The breakfasts are really nice and they even do doggie sausages for a small charge. The evening meals are great value and the best tasting I have ever had. I heartily recommend the Pandana pizza. The staff are all really friendly and courteous. The hotel is very dog friendly and there’s no extra charge for them. They even sell a range of dog treats and toys.We have stayed before and we will stay again.

Massive portions, fish was well come ked but a little bland. Calamari and chips delicious. Hubby had the raost beef sandwich which was delicious. Lovely service

The food here was delicious and all the staff were lovely. A table mix-up meant our group wasn't seated together despite being told this would be arranged when we booked a couple of weeks ahead of time, which was a shame. The bar area is dog-friendly but the dining area isn't.

Had a wonderful meal here early Feb 22. Lovely pub, great, friendly staff and wonderful food. I had a steak that was melt-in-your-mouth delicious!

Stayed here before and really enjoyed it, this time we visited to eat there, its a dog friendly pub as most are nowadays but when there's a dog in thats screaching the place down its not a pleasant experience. The food on the other hand did help to drown out the noisy dog and tasted fantastic, big portions and fantastic chunky homemade chips (my absolute favourite) so we would definitely recommend and definitely return (hopefully without a screaching doggy)

Always a very welcoming place, the rooms, food and service is always excellent. What we particularly like is that in the pub area, you have the same menu choice as the main restaurant, when staying with your dogs its quite a game changer

Called in by chance on a wet winters evening looking for some food and a drink and although we didn't have a booking they found us a table. The food was great and they had a choice of 4 real ales, they also do accommodation and are super dog friendly, (which is a bonus for us) they even allow dogs in the room if you are staying over. Staff were super helpful too ...all in all a great find.

My wife and I stayed at The Hope and Anchor on Sunday night. We had a Dinner Bed & Breakfast deal ...we stayed in the Puffin room which was beautifully done out and really cosy. All the staff we met were so helpful and so friendly. The food we sampled was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge. We loved our stay and would definitely hope to return in the near future.

The food home cooked freshly made and really tasty. The waitress was very friendly and professional she seemed to be running the bar restaurant and hotel check in by herself. The bar seems to lack soul and is very cold people were sitting with there coats on while eating they do have a solid fuel fire which was not lit for some reason 🤔

Perfect location, very close to the beautiful beaches. Spacious, sparklingly clean, airy, comfortable and freshly decorated dog friendly room. Excellent breakfasts included in the very good value cost of the room. Lovely to see so many vegan choices, the pizza that I tried was delicious. Every effort was taken to ensure that all of our needs were met. I really appreciate the fact that being vegan and having a dog we’re not seen as an inconvenience, the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Thank you for a wonderful break.
