The food and service here is absolutely brilliant. They can also cater for the fussier eater, for example I was on a diet and didn't want certain foods and two of my friends are gluten free and he cooked gluten free chips just for those WITHOUT Asking, which I thought was fantastic service. Go, you won't be disappointed.

A great pub, stunning food, good prices, at last a pub in northumberland that doesn't rip you off. Will be back many times.

Great food generous portions.Kids portions were huge.Desserts were fabeven if I had to share after big main course.Friendly staff made to feel welcome,Kids got a Xmas chocolate bar to take home.Will definitely be back.xx

We visited tonight for tea. We were really well looked after by the staff and the food ( the steak and farne ale pie) was really good. Would definitely return. It makes a good change to have proper home cooked food and really good service.

Gorgeous food, quick and efficient service and super friendly! Dog friendly too. Clean and well presented pub and very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend!

Lovely evening meals of steak pie and lamb shank, served with copious amount of vegetables, boiled potatoes and chips. The owners and their staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Our dog was welcome in the bar, and was made a fuss of which she enjoyed.Definitely recommend the food, it was delicious.

This venue deserves the benefits from positive reviews. Have never enjoyed a better dining experience. This is definitely worth a visit, The food is outstanding and the staff certainly make you feel welcome.There is seating inside and outdoors.
