The Leaping Salmon in Northumberland

Ordered food for 24 people 3 weeks in advance, still made mistakes, mixed grill was overly cooked dry steak & chicken and sausage1 person serving drinks waited 30 mins to get served, 1person even tho it was 1st nite of Easter holidays and she was sooooo slow, only plus side was a clod glass with my beer, Find a weatherspoons

Very nice lunch yesterday, pub was clean and tidy. There were quite a few people in so thought we may have had a wait but we're served within 5 minutes. Baguette chips and a drink for £6.49 was great value. Waitress was very nice also, she even checked back to see if everything was OK.

Friendly staff, food was adequate. Felt like a typical large pub chain type of bar. Prices were good but beer was very disappointing, we had Timothy Taylor Landlord which I normally like but very disappointing from here.

Its a great place to dine in food is great and delicious great portions...atmosphere is great and staff are friendly...the price is accurate and maybe more double meals one price would be advantageous...great experience after all. Would recommend 👌had a great and delicious desert chocolate fudge with ice cream one of my favourites...

Decidedly mediocre. I had curry and my nan bread was inedible and I didn't get the chutneys advertised. No excuse as it was very quiet.

The Pick your own paddle dishes and kids menu were really nice and great value. Our daughter loved her ice cream with pots of good things to add in. The staff were so helpful and friendly and our daughter appreciated the extra Xmas gift of choc coins and chewy bar. The customers on the table next to us had some wonderful looking burger from the burger and drink special menu. Such a Great little find. We all came out full, happy and smiling. We will return for sure.

It's a well located place and well designed as each table has got aTV mounted on the wall but the toilets are minging unfortunately and that's why I did not rate more than 3 stars.

Didn't enjoy my visit. The place was quite noisy and strangely each table had a screen showing some horse racing channel (with the sound off). The bar staff did their best but it got quite busy. I was starving so ate my food but it wasn't to a good standard.

We booked on line a few days before as we were a group of 3 going to a gig at The Maltings. We waited inside to be greeted by a member of staff as requested. The greeting from an irritated member of staff was "we have no tables". We advised we had made an online booking and had the reference number. We were then told the manager would have to be summoned. After several minutes the manager appeared and showed us to a table. We were advised we could order on the app or at the bar. When we went to the bar to place the order the less than personable bar person advised that all the dishes we wanted were not available. It would have been useful if the manager had advised us of this when we were shown to our tables. We then left and found somewhere else to eat that had staff who were pleasant, helpful and friendly.

Great "pub grub"... Lots of choices, most meals are a similar kind of price (£5-6) through various deals. Appears similar to a W'spoons except for the drinks...Seemed fairly quiet and pleasant enough when we visited around noon on a BH Monday. Food came very quickly, it was good enough for what you would expect for the prices. Staff were very nice people. Definitely recommended.
