Just returned home from a fantastic two night stay at the Lord Crewe hotel, Bamburgh. Our room was large, clean and warm with a massive en-suite bathroom! All the staff were very polite and professional during our stay. We enjoyed a delicious meal in the restaurant and some lovely drinks in the bar. I must mention the ‘Full Northumberland Breakfast’ which was one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time 👍🏻👍🏻 The Lord Crewe is now closing for some major renovation work but should be open again in April, and we are already looking forward to visiting again. “Thank You” to the staff at the Lord Crewe, our stay was perfect and is highly recommended.

Clean & tidy establishment but coffees weak, and were presented with 2 cups of water & separate tea bags for a cup of tea. No cakes. Dissapointing.

·

Good se of menu items, cooked and presented to a high standard. All staff were very welcoming, pleasant and efficient. Well worth a visit!

·

Lovely place, very comfortable, food was amazing. Such good value for money. The staff were so lovely and nothing too much trouble

Nicely done out pub/restaurant/hotel with a couple of cask ales. Friendly service. The food was very good and good value especially the fish & chips. Somewhat let down by a lack of character and we found it too bright to enjoy a romantic meal

Despite booking a room and dinner months before we were not able to sit in the dining room. Service was a bit hit and miss and eventually an adequate meal was brusquely served in the starkly lit bar. The room was perfectly adequate though small with a view to the castle. Breakfast was OK. Somehow a dispiriting experience and glad to leave.

Had a nice lunch here after a long hike on a cloudy cold day. It was good to see vegan and gluten-free options on the menu. We had tomato basil soup and quinoa, beetroot burgers which were fresh and delicious. Service is quite swift even though the place was quite busy. Little bit felt that the lady taking out order was a bit rude could be as they were short staffed. Other than that we enjoyed out lunch here.

Had an amazing meal here last night. The food was so tasty and very generous portion sizes. Try the bangers and mash! Nick you are an absolute gem and made us feel so welcome and I honesty don't think our visit would've been the same without your service and friendly manner.. The atmosphere definitely changed when you finished shift! Gem of a guy.. Worth the hefty tip :)

Nice building and a few tables and chairs outside for seating. Food was quite pricey for main meals, fish and chips was around £14 and the portion size was average. Dirty fries was really tasty as a snack/side. Beer selection was pretty mediocre for good beer fans. The only cask beer on sale ran out before I got to the bar and still hadn't been replaced when we left 40 mins later. Service for food was quick.

It must be a North East tradition to be helpful and friendly and all the staff here tick the boxes. My wife and I did not have food here but on the tables nearby the dishes look fresh and delicious. I had a local craft ale and it was very refreshing and certainly hit the spot.
