The Meadow House in Northumberland

When we ordered food, we were informed that one of the meals was now out of stock, after we ordered we were later told that one of our other meals was out of stock. Food took over an hour to come to the table even though we were the only people getting food. The pizza was just an oven pizza that was extremely overdone, and the chicken burger was horrible. Would avoid and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Bright airy, nice staff, food lovely, try the mixed grill, you won't be disappointed.

Visited after staying in Travelodge for work. Friendly staff and customers. Very accommodating. Hope to come back sometime.

Welcoming, were great with the dog including having a bowl of fresh water and even some biscuits. Food was nice, colouring in to do for the 3 year old while we waited. Nothing not to like and we will definitely be back.

Absolutely brilliant place,very friendly, brilliant new staff who have taken over, food very nice and reasonable prices. Well worth a visit. Good luck to them....would highly recommend.. I will certainly visit again. 😊

What a pleasure to visit the newly reopened Meadow House. Conveniently situated right on The A1 at the roundabout. Greated by very friendly Staff and Manager. Excellent choice from an extensive menu. Make sure you are hungry when you visit as portions are generous. Wishing everyone here all the very best for the future. Hope to see you all again soon.

My fiance and I had a lovely meal. Friendly service, delicious food and good value for money. Would definitely recommend it :)

To be honest I wasn't going to go here after reading some of the reviews and it has 3.7* out of 5. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised home bright and well finished it is inside. Looks like it has been recently decorated. Toilets where clean and didn't smell. The pub was quiet. Ordered my food. Prawn cocktail starter and 8oz Sirloin for main.My starter came in about 10 mins. Usually served in a large glass. This time it was on a plate. Well presented and very tasty. Came with fresh brown bread and butter. Next the main. I asked for medium for my steak. Was a little under but still very tasty. A good cut but not the best. Chips where lovely. Service was good and the woman behind the bar was polite and very helpful. Would go again.

Very nice friendly pub. Extremely dog friendly, Great reasonably priced food. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal there and the 3 dogs had a smashing time too.

We'd spent a day exploring Northumberland and found this pub just before we crossed the border into Scotland, it looked good from outside and the inside didn't disappoint. The food was excellent and plenty of it at great prices.
