The Melton Constable in Northumberland

Called in twice recently, once for a drink and again for a meal. Can't fault the place, service is quick, staff are friendly, meals are good. There is a small conservatory at the rear and outdoor seating overlooking the burn with the small boats in. A good place to try, ignore the line of cars outside, people park there for the beach and for walking.

We had a beer and crisps outside with our dog. The MC has good, friendly staff, bowls and tap for dog drinking water and get a massive 5/5 for having an alcohol free beer - not just a 0% lager. Great way to end a lovely walk along The Dene. When weather improves we'll have a meal outside as the food looks great too.

First visit today, food & service is top quality...They do small plus regular portion sizes ...really good for people with small appetites..I will be going for lunch again soon...

Proper old style pub and food, good service and nice location near Seaton Sluice ... ignore the scaffolding (must be undergoing maintenance after storms or general refurbishment) it's a good value pub offering tasty pub grub.

First visit to this place, always intended to but never got, it won't be our last. All homemade food and fresh vegetables. Husband had mince and dumpling and I opted for braised steak. Two clean plates says it all.Sat in the conservatory and the view is beautiful.Very friendly and welcoming.

Great little pub in Seaton Sluice. staff friendly and welcoming and a good selection of beers and real ales to be had. Food always lovely and freshly cooked, prices reasonable too. A lovely view up Hollywell Dene from the large conservatory to be admired whilst having a good beer, especially at high tide.
