Another visit here for a Sundaycarvery, outstanding, the chef is a genius and gave free tips on how to make gigantic Yorkshire puddings, can not say enough good things about this establishment can not rate highly enough😁😁😁😁😁

The room was great and clean. The breakfast was amazing, the staff even brought our little Jack Russel his own sausage for breakfast! The morning staff on the 4th December were so lovely it really felt like a home away from home. We had a crisis with our car at check out time but the staff were amazing, made a safe place for our bags and even reccomend local garages so we could get sorted and back home safe.Thank you so much.

Turned up on Saturday 27th November at 5pm hoping for a hot meal (a party of 4 adults and 3 dogs) to be greeted with reserved signs on all the empty tables (bear in mind this was the day after storm arwen and half of Alnwick had no power.... We ourselves had no electricity up in warenford hence why we were on the look out for a hot meal).... The kind lady behind the bar (possibly the manager but I didn't catch her name) said give me a few minutes and I'll look through the bookings.... After some juggling she said we could have a table till 6.15pm which gave us sufficient time to have a gorgeous meal and a pint. 10 out of 10 for both the food and customer service. We will definitely be going back

I stayed two nights. The room was ample in size; the bathroom was modern, with very good water-pressure; the bed was comfortable; the staff were friendly. It was let down by small details, such as one light not working, the cupboard door needing to be oiled, and a corner of the bathroom with dirt and hairs. Breakfast was ample, but again let down by details: in the cooked breakfast the the tomato and mushrooms were undercooked, and everthing seemed like it was bought from Iceland or Aldi, not locally-sourced. I expect much better for Β£120 per night.

Phoned and booked within half an hour, not bad for a Sunday. Followed by great service and hospitality. The roast was great and definitely filled up the family

Nice hotel/ pub/ restaurant on the edge of Alnwick town. Dog friendly in the bar. Sunday carvery was delicious..local Northumberland lamb, beef, chicken etc. Great Yorkshire pudding! Friendly staff. Our only other observation was the noise from drinkers stood around near the bar and door. Once they moved outside it improved. Wish it could be table service again just for that reason.

Had a lovely stay in a large family room. Very well appointed and immaculately clean and tidy. Superb dinner (great quality pub meals) and drinks the night before and a great breakfast the morning after courtesy of Dawn and her staff, who provided us with friendly and efficient service throughout our stay. Highly recommended.
