The Old Bakehouse in Northumberland

Really nice place to eat and drink nice staff and we sat in a nice little sun trap outside the building.

Found this little gem by chance on a visit to Morpeth, and we were not disappointed. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table but it was well worth the wait. The staff were very friendly and the food was all home made and absolutely delicious. We had mince and dumplings served with separate veg. The portions were ample and great value for money. We live in Washington and will definitely visit again.

Excellent service and the home made Steak Pie was delicious. The jacket potato is cooked in the microwave and in my opinion paying just short of £6.50 for one, these should be baked. Otherwise a very pleasant lunch experience.

Everything is home cooked traditional British comfort food. Mince and dumplings delicious. It's cash only at the moment and very reasonably priced

Hidden off the Main Street through alley. Good seating outside , friendly service , and nice coffee . It says “Dog Friendly “, but you are not allowed in with your dog ( sitting outside only ).

Great food, very small portion size with a very small amount of gravy. Kiddies portion no less. One solitary scoop of mashed potato.My steak pie (pielet) was very tasty there just wasn't enough of it.I'm not a small chap either.I don't mind paying an extra couple of quid but you need to review portion sizes.Otherwise a great lunch.
