The Old Storehouse, Amble in Northumberland

First impression on going in was that it was wasn’t busy on a Saturday night. Now I know why. We ordered 5 meals altogether, they arrived at the table with 10 or 15 minute gaps between them. Quality of food was poor to be polite. It was the worst meal I’ve been served in a very long time. Most of it went back to the kitchen when the plates were collected. The rest of the food was ok at best but value for money was poor. I’d rather have given my money to someone who really needed it.

As a sole diner I was served quickly and respectfully .My food was good...the only problem was the size of the portion!I struggled to finish it but I did because it wss delicious! I was happy to pass on the desert!

It was horrible it took 20 minutes for them to bring us our drinks and 1 hour 30 minutes for our food to come we went at 6 o clock and left at 8 this is the worst place I would give it 0 stars you could smell the stench of the toilets from the table it was vile the house white wine was so strong that it could unblock a drain use it for your toilets not as a drink do yourself a favor and stay away

First and last time. Food was burnt, sent back and new one burnt and running in oil. Burgers were burnt, bacon so salty couldn't be eaten either. At no point were we asked if everything was OK and guy who brought food had his big overcoat on all the time making us feel very unwelcome. As an amble resident supporting local business is important but sadly we won't be back

Lovely place , friendly staff, good service.Cosy fire , food we only had snacks so can't really share this experience. 😋 Made our dogs welcome

Having spent the lunchtime searching many pubs to unsuccessfully to try and get vegan food this was our last option. It turns out that The Old Storehouse has an extensive menu including several vegan options. The vegan cottage pie was excellent.

Excellent service and good food. The hanging skewers were something a bit different and very much worth a try.

Comfortable and friendly and dog friendly. Plenty of places outside for children to play and the price of the children's meals is reasonable. Staffing is not consistent - sometimes you can't get hold of a member or staff and other times they overwhelm. Adult meals vary - I would have given it 4 stars but the vegetarian options are very limited.

A delightful find at the end of a coastal tour of Northumberland - pleasant but ubiquitous, and adjacent to a caravan site whose members it serves. Everyone was very friendly, the food very good value but a very limited vegetarian selection. Another negative was that several items on the menu were unavailable - I think because of a change in seasons - but this made making choices a little flustered as my choice wasn’t available and I had to rethink quickly. However the food that came was well served, and very tasty so it’s a minor issue. Would happily go there again.

Lovely place, spacious. Staff helpful and polite. The meal was delicious and decently priced. All in all a nice experience in lovely surroundings.
