The Olde Ship Inn in Northumberland

Called by here for a late lunch and enjoyed a really good crab salad. Very nice and friendly staff - seems to be very typical of Northumberland, they are so welcoming - which makes for a relaxed visit. Recommended.

A really lovely cosy pub with a quirky decor. Great choice of real ales and wine as well as serving a good food menu. Highly recommended

Called in for lunch. Great location, very quirky on inside with loads of nautical nik naks and the world's smallest bar, let down by average food , fish finger sandwich £9.50 cheese and red onion toasties £9.00 both were average with frozen skin on fries and what tasted like cheap frozen fish and manky salad. 2 glasses of wine £13.00... not good won't be going back

Rude and unhelpful staff, asked where we go to sit and eat and were shown to an empty room full of table and chairs. We asked for a table for 2 and she said “well we are very busy” immediately felt unwelcome and in the way like they didn’t want us there especially when the restaurant was empty. She said it was due to lots of bookings made, weird to turn away customers who are there willing to pay over some bookings who might not turn up… Went to the pub in the next village over instead and had a lovely meal!

A pub full of nautical artifacts and great beer. As Covid restrictions are removed the pub's main bar was once again busy but there are plenty of other rooms available for those that aren't comfortable with getting back to normal just yet.

Wow what a great place to be. I think the buzz in Seahouses was because of the Walrus... Wilma who ended up on Seahouses rocks in the harbour. So we usually go to another pub there but was closed for renovation. But how glad were we because the pub we chose was even better. In the Summer they have an outdoor area overlooking the sea. Today was a bit cold so indoors was a great choice. A real fire (oops told the owner I thought it was gas) food was fantastic and reasonably priced. The history of the pub shone out showing the Sea Memorabilia it had in the cosy lounge. Loved it. Staff were so friendly and the tables were cleaned from one customer to another. Anyway your pub made our day out the best ever. Thanks N & C x

Popped into Seahouses after a walk along the coast. It was Frosty.....I don't mean the weather, but the welcome that we received. The first two beers I ordered were off (might want to try turning the pump clips round), but the third was decent.It's definitely a cheap and cheerful place with a very strange layout.

Just had three nights at the Ship Inn. There is nothing bad about this pub.Excellent breakfast, a lot of different ales, the staff are all very friendly. it is very clean and tidythe room was perfect. Evening menu very good prices and choice. But you you mustreserve your table for your evening meal as it gets very busy. We only managed one eveningmeal as restaurant booked up rest of stay.

Can never tire of this pub. Staff are so welcoming. Great range of real ales. Every room and corridor has memorabilia relating to the sea. So much brass which is cleaned every week. Has to be seen to believe. Food is so good.

The waitress, Sarah, was really lovely. Very friendly and helpful.Excellent selection of single malt whiskies and a stunning reserve port which went well with the cheeseboard.The fresh crab was delicious and the steak was good, but unfortunately the meals were let down a bit by the accompanying salad and vegetables.
