Service, ambience, helpful, attentive, amazing place to hold a baby shower, thank you, the day went exceptionally well without any hitches, nothing was too much of a bother, can't wait to come back you helped make the day special

Beautiful wedding venue, the staff were very helpful and made the experience really good. We came here for a wedding and had a great time. The one downside was that I know the bride and groom paid for the venue to be private on the day however, the venue were still having people come over for meetings and to pay deposits. I do believe this was communicated and the manager took on board the feedback now.Fab time overall.

Lovely rural wedding venue, had good food and nice atmosphere. Only minor negative is the bar did not stock and single Malts (personal favourite) but a good selection of other alcoholic beverages.

We got married on the 08.10.2021 and I can only describe the day as perfect. The venue was the perfect setting for the intimate and cosy vibe we wanted (48 day guests). All of our guests commented on how unique and beautiful the venue was. We were very lucky as the weather was amazing, it was sunny and hot so we were keen to make the most of our drinks and canapés reception. This was no issue at all and we were not rushed in for the wedding breakfast, which we really appreciated. The food was fantastic both during the day and on the evening, loads of our guests commented on this, and the bedrooms in the cottage were beautiful. We really managed to have such a relaxed day. On the evening we had double the guests and again it was intimate enough for everyone to mingle together but spacious enough to have everyone we wanted there.I would like to say a massive thank you to Rebecca, she was simply amazing. Not only did she ensure the day ran smoothly, she went out of her way to help us at every opportunity and make sure we were having the best time. I think it was obvious that I was incredibly nervous and Rebecca made me feel so at ease. All of the staff were friendly and looked after everyone, nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Also a massive thanks to Molly, Naomi And Rachel who held our meetings and helped us organise our day.Would 1000% recommend the venue to anyone thinking about booking for a wedding.Megan

Set in a quaint woody location just off the A1, this place offers afternoon tea, Prosecco and real ales. The afternoon tea (£14 pp) was excellent- handmade, fresh and high quality. Initially I thought the portions were rather un-generous for two people (one 3 tier stand and 4 small sandwiches) but it was just about right with the desserts. I thought the sandwiches could have been cut into bite sized pieces especially as we were sharing between two people and the platter had more desserts than sandwiches (about 4 or 5 different desserts, two of each, to 4 small sandwiches.I thought the staff were rather un-attentive: we had to ask for everything, they didn’t know what ales they had, and messed our drinks order up.All in all I would definitely go back, beautiful setting and decor with delicious food - a perfect treat after a country drive!

We went here for my partners great grandma's birthday, the venue is a beautiful little place with various private cabins. The buffet was extremly good with a selection of quality sandwiches, pies, and pastries both savoury and sweet. The prices at the bar were quite high but then I'd expect that at venue like this, staff were friendly and standards of service were high, well looked after I thought 👍

We absolutely love The Parlour. We often provide Photo Booths for Weddings here. Food is always amazing, staff are always on point, beer lines looked after so nice pints. Stunning venue!!

Go every time I’m up home visiting parents. Good coffee and breakfast. Usually get the poached eggs and salmon on brown bread. For the two of us it comes in around £16. Always busy for lunch, recommend booking. Also, they’re catering more towards weddings nowadays so call before hand to see if they’re open to general public. Accessibility is good with paving slabs leading up to the main building, not sure about the toilet.
