The Potted Lobster in Northumberland

We were lucky to get a table outside on a beautiful sunny day! The interior of the restaurant was lovely. The staff were lovely, helpful and cheerful. The food was delicious and the restaurant is clearly deserving of its Michelin Guide inclusion. The menu is not fussy but the ingredients are fresh and local. Would highly recommend but if you want to make sure you get a table book in advance. Dogs were welcome.

Make sure you book to avoid disappointment!This place has everything, great staff, good menu choice at very reasonable prices and gorgeous food.There is so much to choose from especially with the starter and main specials.The mussels and lobster were the stand out for us.

Very good! Fully booked inside but managed to grab a table outside, which are first-come-first-serve. Despite being busy, service was quick. Pan fried Monkfish tail was superb, beautifully cooked.

The food is delicious and very affordable.All good we had tasted super fresh.The lobster is amazing and exceptional value for money.Great selection of wines .Make sure you book a table beforehand.

Fabulous! Scallops and belly pork starter, monkfish and chorizo followed by chocolate brownie sundae - all delicious. Try the beer - goes really well with anything.We booked 3 weeks out, few places left, so book early!

Wow, what an amazing restaurant, proudly displaying Michelin star awards, they are well deserved. Wonderfully attentive and friendly staff led us to a lovely table and then over the next hour or so my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed starter, main and dessert. Those with smaller appetites will struggle as portions are generous!Can't recommend this place enough. Book in advance. Ample parking nearby on the main streets and it also has dog friendly sections.

Oh my word!!! Amazing food and ENORMOUS portions. Soft shell crab starter for me - yum and cup of clam chowder for the hubster, absolutely delicious. We both had the fish and chips - batter was so light and crispy, chips lovely. I can eat but I didn't manage to eat all my plate!! Would recommend most definitely.

Fantastic food and great service. We visited early on a Sundsy evening and had a really good starter and main at a very reasonable price.

Dined a few weeks ago with my mum- “discovered” via the Hairy Bikers, if watching tv counts as discovery! We had a delicious meal and particularly enjoyed the langoustines. Will return in future!

Delicious food beautifully presented, staff friendly, seating comfortable.will certainly be back.
