Very generous pitches to accommodate our twin axle van. Toilets and shower block clean and tidy may need updating a little but more than adequate with lots of hot water. Pub is peaple and dog friendly. Tasty food and big portions. Rockabilly band could hold a tune. The Ferryhill boys will be up there for new year!

·

the pitch was nice but the price was reduculous and so were the toilets and showers. noisy place with live music until 23pm.

The lamb was the best ever and my husband enjoyed the steak and ale pie. Quick efficient service and friendly, helpful staff. This place is an absolute gem x

Spent the last three nights here with our caravan. Lovely well laid out caravan site. Nice large pitches. Toilet block good but could do with being updated. Well kept grounds. Everyone very friendly and welcoming. The on-site bar/restaurant are great. Food was delicious with plenty choice. Would go back and recommend.

Had lovely weekend the railway inn was great with nice friendly staff and food was beautiful. We enjoyed the singer on Friday night with our friend mick singing a song too. The pitch was lovely size toilets and showers very clean. We have booked for again for may and also coming along New Year’s Eve this year we enjoyed so much.

Went for sunday lunch here today first time had to say very dissapointing . I had the pork which was very dry and 3 little quarters of deep fat fried roast potatoes. Peas and carrots gravy was like tap water and the whole thing not very hot. Partner ordered a vegetarian roast which was basically same as mine but without meat would have been nice to have had a nut roast with it. Have to say bar staff very friendly.

Been many times in the past in caravan and it was ok but now the owners have hiked the price up its just not worth it and on arrival in a motorhome they wanted an extra £2.50 for water,I have never in 30 year been charged for water before.

Lovely site, the railway inn pub was very friendly, staff were very helpful too.we booked for Xmas and New year, xmas dinner was lovely, the staff very friendly, but unfortunately one of our jack Russell took ill (he's in his 16th year), so out of 10 days we'd booked we'd only got to stay 5 nights but we will definitely be going back in the summer. Unfortunately I didn't get chance to meet the owner, as was looking forward to chatting about the history of the pub, so maybe it may be an idea if you could do a small brochure about it.Hopefully see you in the summer

Great place for a weekends camping, shame about the weather but that can't be helped.Staff at the railway Inn are very friendly and the pub has a great atmosphere. My only gripe with here is maybe the food ( sorry ) we had a meal here on the Saturday night and my burger was nothing short of cremated whilst my friends was very under cooked. We would def go back here as it's a great base to explore the Northumberland coastline.

Absolutely fabulous site with a huge pitch separated by hedges and water hook up, staff and food also amazing. We’d have given 5 stars but the shower block is well past its sell by date unfortunately and no loo roll two mornings in a row and the Elsan point was in a poor state. As the name of the pub gives it away it’s next to a railway line but they don’t run through the night and are moving fast anyway when passing so barely noticeable. Nothing is to much of a bother for the staff 😊
