Excellent food. Black Sheep served by the tankard. What more could you want after a day in the hills? Highly recommend.

Very good meal slightly more than I would normally pay for a bar meal

The 5 stars say it all, the staff were very friendly and accomodating , the food was amazing, the steak and ale pie has to be tried, all homemade with suet pastry .homemade chips, what a treat.The sticky toffee pudding was so light and moist, with a lovely butterscotch sauce. The starters (chicken goujons) again perfect. Would highly recommend a visit, and I travelled a long way on recommendation and would happily do it again. Thank you Red Lion Inn at Milfield

We had the steak ale pie which was gorgeous and the portions just perfect also the food is served on the plate and NOT in a stupid wire basket or bucket I can highly recommend this pub

We visited here again last night and the food was as wonderful as ever We were pigs and had 3 courses each. All were delicious. The dining area is smallish and cosy with great friendly staff. Couldn't want for more

We had Sunday lunch and the roast beef was really poor. My husband was a butcher for 50 years before he retired so he knows about meat. The venue itself was really nice and the staff were very competant.

When we first walked in it did feel like a typical country pub, but one with a very good bar selection, however if you decide to dine there you'll see it gets better.I couldn't believe we had to book, after all it's a small village, but the fact that you do have to book speaks volume of how good the food is. Good food, great staff, good beer do you need anything else?

Went for lunch with 5 others. Only table booked, but we were well looked after and a nice menu. 2 real ales but we couldn't drink enough at lunchtime. Medium proves but small portions are available. Good Doddington's ice cream. Recommended.

Lovely country pub, this has accommodation available also. We enjoyed a meal here. We had salad, fish and chips and pie. All beautifully cooked and tasty. We did book a table, due to covid restrictions. But once there, there was a lot of space between tables to make us feel secure.
