Friendly and quick service, good food and very welcoming for walkers.

The restaurant fit us in for an early dinner on Friday night despite not having a reservation. The cheese souffle was absolutely delicious. Cozy, comfortable, good parking, fair prices, and close to Hadrian's Wall.

Nice, small town pub. My wife and I are here both nights we were in town and it was very good. Great service staff and good food.I had the fish pie the first night which was good and my wife has the chicken penne pasta which was very good. The second night we both had the pasta. For dessert both nights we had the rhubarb/ginger crumble which was superb!

The Samson Inn is a good opportunity to have dinner after a long hike. I have been there on a saturday and I do recommend to make a reservation the day before.I had the Samson Inn burger - very recommendable. Nevertheless, the staff seems to be in a big hurry (and a little bit shy) all the time and, for instance, did not had the time to receive my order for another drink.

This is a top-notch place. The room was great (fabulous shower!), the food simple but done perfectly, the beer well-kept and the staff friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended - I'll be going back.

Friendly staff and good food. A standard pub B&B room, clean and functional. Would have been good to be able to regulate the heat (too hot). A very fine stay on our Hadrian’s Wall walk.

We stayed here for one night. We loved it. Warm and friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were very welcoming and genuine. The room was spotlessly clean and the food was the best food food we have had! We can’t wait to come back, keep doing what you’re doing!
