Food not of good standard.No atmosphere.Very disappointed.Tasted like cooked from frozen .Would not visit again .

Stayed for one night, lovely clean double room. Was busy when we arrived but wasn't long before someone came and took us to our room . Fantastic breakfast the next morning with great service. Also was able to get a late checkout so we could get ready for wedding we were attending.

Called in here for a drink after long walk on gorgeous beach, what a result. Welcoming pub 2 very friendly ladies behind the bar, decided to have Sunday lunch, had roast beef with all the trimmings absolutely wonderful. Try it if you are in the area you wont be disappointed

Went for a meal with my husband (and the dog!). Nice and cosy, good food and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

Had the Sunday Lunch menu....one was beef and one pork. Wow...what a great roast dinner of what you would.hope for......carrots, peas and broccoli, parsnips, mash and roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and stuffing alongside 2 good chunky slices of meat. A pot of homemade gravy was served up without having to request it...I always find there is never enough gravy so this was great but also it was very tasty gravy, not the usual smooth processed stuff. Also I must give a shout out for the Yorkshire pudding...not the usual crisp puffed up ball of tasteless batter, but like your mum used to make...crisp edges with a soggy bottom!. Also the ball of stuffing with my pork was particularly tasty. Finally the offer of condiments of apple sauce and horseradish were served up separately but ...at the same time as the dinner, so no long wait for them while the dinner got cold like at some places!!Dog friendly. Best you book for a Sunday...even on a cold and wet day like it was when we visited.

Love it. Great food. Very relaxed. Landlord is a really nice chap. Laid back and friendly. My partner loved their vegeburger. Im told they dont always taste this good.

Nice clean , modern decoration.. good friendly helpful staff good ambience. We had a roast Beef dinner Plenty of everything. Very tasty.. we did not stay here sadly .. would definitely go back .. we were booked in at the SCHOONER 😱🤢☹

Stayed two nights, the breakfast was excellent, great sausages and bacon. The staff were fantastic, very accommodating and very organised. Almouth is beautiful and all restaurants dog friendly. Will definitely return to the sun inn. Close to the beach too 10/10

Lovely little place. Popped in here for a Sunday lunch. Staff were very welcoming and were happy to chat. The Sunday lunch was very reasonably priced and very tasty with plenty on the plate.
