The hotel is basic but clean and well run. I was greeted by Kirsty one of the owners who was lovely. Explained everything I needed. The room was spacious and clean and also nice and quiet.I ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely. Very well prepared and good value. Also there is a good selection of real ales in the bar.I will certainly return when in the area.

First time we have been to the swan in years ,moved back to bedlington this year.Read reviews & They were mixed but we like to make our own minds up .Had a slow walk down , staff were lovely. I ordered steak medallions Coops had a mixed grill. It was outstanding the steak melted in your mouth.would not hesitate to go back

Very Dependable food wise and pleasant surroundings I just think the owners family private business should be just that and not aired publicly for allnsundry to hear as I have witnessed on occasion. However I still return because it's value for money and decent food.

I can today with my family, they were accommodating for the babies and quick to serve us; we ordered burgers and thought that they would be worth the money, unfortunately they lacked flavour and my family and I agreed that somewhere cheaper such as Wetherspoons definitely has the right idea in flavour and idea for range. We could not taste the cheese on burgers and payed extra for onions rings which we only got 4 most places offer 6.The outdoor play area is a little out dated as is the decor inside the building and I also noticed one of the owners was drinking alcohol whilst customers were present, I just found it a little unproffesional and overpriced, its safe to say we didn't stay for dessert, the red lion did the job though

Great place to stay, we stayed when cycling the Coast and Castles cycle route. Slightly off track but easy to find. Very comfortable, extremely friendly landlords and staff. Excellent food.

Lovely pub. Great food. Food cooked from fresh ingredients to order. Definitely recommend and will be returning. Thanks to the hosts Kirsty and Amy.

Excellent sunday lunch ! Picked up 2 small takeaway's for 2 elderly ladies who are friends of ours and we do this on a regular basis for them ,and i must say they are delighted with food as we are too ! !

Recently went to the Swan and although the food was not bad the staff were less than helpful. My wife is a wheelchair user and.it felt like we were asking for the earth to have a table slightly moved and to gain easy access. I just felt their attitude was poor.Sorry but we won't be going back.
