Well.... this should have been 5 stars. The food was delicious and service was attentive, however we had to sit with children listening to constant swearing and churlish comments about tourists which eventually turned into a very uncomfortable altercation between staff and customers (not sure if this is a regular occurence). I would still recommend the food, but probably not ideal for visiting with kids.

Very nice, staff very helpful, good selection of food including vegetarian, good quality too

Great staff, Sunday lynch 3 courses, however the beef was dry, overcook and sparse. I sent mine back only to be replaced by similar, so I ended up eating potatoes only, shame as previous visits have been good. Also the restaurant was not that busy. Won't be going for Sunday lunch again, I cook better at home 🙄

We were made very welcome an looked after very well during our stay. The suite we had was very comfortable and spacious. Bar and food prices were reasonable. All the staff from the hosts to the cleaners were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place

A real gem in the country. We popped in for lunch. Lovely friendly staff with a warm welcome.Don't be fooled by the term 'light bites' on the menu. They are pretty filling. They do a selection of breads with a selection of filings, all come with salad and chips (proper skin on chips)Really filling. Salmon and soft cheese on soft sour dough was delicious as was bagel with beef stilton and rocket. All just under 8 quid a portion ! Bargain and delicious.Pop in if passing.

Fabulous three night stay. Ellen, Mary and George plus all the staff create a five star experience. They have fantastic local knowledge of the area to make the best use of your break. Breakfast excellent also worth eating in the restaurant at night. All in all a great break, highly recommended.
