The Valley Connection in Northumberland

A real Gem. Stunning building and interior. Really great service and the food was amazing! I'd recommend trying one of their unique dishes off the chef's recommendations. I tried mangsho pesta ke shadi and it was gorgeous! We was just visiting the area and glad we came to the valley. We will definitely be back when we return. Thank you.

Really great experience at the restaurant from the greeting on arrival and the oqner visiting the table. Food was great and the service during our courses from the waiters was superb.

Been to the restaurant in Newcastle a few times and love it so, when in Corbridge for a night, it was a good opportunity to try this one. No regrets, every bit as good as the Newcastle restaurant, the food is superb, drinks not over priced and very friendly staff. Lovely ambience too.

Think twice before booking for an important occasion!Feel free to take this review with a pinch of salt as I haven’t actually managed to eat at the Valley restaurant, the food looks very good.However I did have a booking for a party of 15 people for the 12th of February, this booking was made and confirmed and a deposit of £150 paid in January. This booking was cancelled today at around midday, which leaves me very little time to organise anything else for an important event!Now I’m 100% sure that the restaurant haven’t tried to contact me via email, phone or text prior to the 11th of feb 1 day before the booking, I’m happy to show my phone/email records to prove this as the restaurant are adamant (wrongly) that they have to tried to contact me, well there either telling fibs or they haven’t tried very hard at all!So I’m now left trying to organise a stag do for 15 people on the day of the stag do, great thanks you.To make this worse after a refund was agreed upon at my request, the restaurant charged me again another £150 pounds! As of writing this review I still haven’t received the £300 pounds I’m owed and this has had a very significant impact on my weekend as it’s unfortunately left me without the funds to pay for what I needed to do this weekend! I’m very upset about this!The reason for the cancellation was that the train services had been cancelled. Now if it was my business I would make sure my bookings were kept, I would simply organise alternative means of transport, taxi or minibus. But no this hasn’t been offered!What I will say is that you should really think twice about booking here if the occasion is an important one, business, birthday what have you. As there is a very real possibility it will be cancelled and like my experience you will only be told the day before, and have to pay £300 for the privilege. Although the food does look very nice so you might want to risk it…

First time for us and it was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful setting food was delicious and the staff and the service they gave us was first class. We can not wait to return and will be treating the family. Thank you

Wow, this was worth the 90 mile drive from Edinburgh. I tried everybody at the table's curry and they were up there with the best I've had. Some amazing and unique flavours, especially from the "chef's speciality" section which I would recommend going for (there's also a vegetarian "speciality" section). They have all sorts of pilau rice too, with peas, nuts, mushrooms etc. Service was friendly, and the decor and atmosphere is really nice. Lovely interior in the old railway station.
