We both ventured here whilst on a break in the area, wè found the staff were to be accomadating and pleasant, toilets were clean, but on a rather cold day it was not the warmest of places to be.

Been in The Wallaw tonight, ordered on the app and the member of staff who served us our drinks all night was really friendly and went the extra mile in making sure our drinks were what we wanted. He said his name was "Luke" and all I can say is I wish every member of staff working in a bar environment was as personal and as friendly as him, what an absolute star he is

The building is nice as it's an old cinema but it is quite dark inside and there were lots of tables that needed cleaning. We didn't eat but the food looked ok and plenty of people tucking in.

In my opinion it's the best spoons in the area for layout, space and general look of the place. It's great the way they've took the old cinema and reinstated as a bar. Always friendly service and typical spoons menu and prices. Parking is not great but it is all free where available in the area.

We visit at least twice a week , love the food and atmosphere. Some of the seats need cleaning and a better system for the service at the bar is needed, maybe one queue to go to whichever till is free, like in the banks, that would stop any queue jumping !

Regret to say that the last time I was in the Wallaw it was still a cinema! The conversion to bar/restaurant has been particularly sympathetic, resulting in a stunning backdrop where the original screen was located. So the building and decoration is both historic and attractive, but during my visit one unattractive feature was local children entering the foyer and then running around in the toilets.Food is typical Spoons fare, unremarkable but adequate and inexpensive, and the menu offers a number of deals. Worth a visit, if just for the surroundings.

Always love their beers and food. Good place to visit. However their breakfasts have gone terrible! rubber eggs!! It was all stodge! This needs looking into. Since the younger staff have started cooking here there food is steadily going down hill. They need to step it up if they want to keep their customers.

An absolutely smashing conversion of a 30's art deco cinema into an excellent Wetherspoons pub. Really spectacular inside with many features renovated and now included into the pub. Comfortable to eat and drink...even better the food was good, and hot! Decent attentive staff. All round winner. Do not miss if you are in Blyth.
