Mostly due to the pandemic we hadn't visited White Monks for a long time so we were pleased to see that the standard was as high as ever and since our previous visit the tearoom has been tastefully refurbished. As always we can highly recommend a visit.

The tearoom looks amazing, there is space between tables, isn't crowded just for the sake to do more money, the food is freshly made and tasty. The prices are decent, great selection of food and cakes! I think this is the best tearoom ever! The decorations of the old school makes this place just wow!Different, classy tearoom! Definitely will be back!

Very light and airy building which was nice and warm. Greeted by very friendly staff and shown to generously spaced tables. Menus cater for a wide variety of people and the food arrived very quickly. Very tasty and the cakes were fantastic. If you run out of conversation you can always read the wall.

Wide range of home baking and excellent coffee. The tea room itself is spacious and has lots of character (for those who like atmosphere as well as good cooking). It is situated in the attractive village of Blanchland, which is worth wandering around once you have enjoyed your morning coffee.

Lovely homely place to visit for refreshments. Their vegetable pies and quiches are delicious and so many different cakes to choose from. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit!

Had the pleasure of discovering this little place on a walk yesterday. It used to be the old school house for the village. It's been a tea room for many years, but the current owners have totally renovated the space, and business is booming. It's very obvious why.The menu is impressive. Everything is cooked and baked in house. Great selection of hot food and drinks. The cakes are to die for!Service by Ian, Scott and his team was second to none!Left very satisfied, with a cake selection to take away! Also, lots of unique decorative items around the place, and all are on sale if you want to take something home.Deffo worth coming to Blanchland, even if it's just to come here. You won't be disappointed!

Googled somewhere to eat nearby. Picked the white monk. Food was delicious we both had the homemade soup and sandwiches,so we could mix our sandwiches with each other and took home some cake. All was amazing we are definitely coming back

Possibly my favourite tea room in just the best village. Very dog friendly, Marley had his own water bowl brought to the table and 3 dog treats. Lunch and cake was perfect and the staff and service wonderful too. Recommend the triple chocolate cake and great coffee. We'll be back!

Nicely modernised cafe in classic country village surroundings. Both coffee and cake were spot on. Had to chase up the bill but they were quite busy. Dog friendly with seating inside and out.

Visiting 'The White Monk', even with current restrictions, was a very pleasant experience. Set in historic surroundings in a beautiful village, they offered a wide ranging menu. Service was quick and friendly and, even though I was only there for a simple lunch, I would happily return whenever in the Blanchland area.
