V Gormans Fish and Chips in Northumberland

Really lovely. Nice n hot, plenty to eat, tartare sauce is gorgeous. Fish is lovely, lovely crispy batter. Husband said beautiful fish cake, nicest hes had, tastes like a fish cake should taste like. Arrived in perfect time. N even sent a bag of batter scraps when I rang up and asked for my son , who was really excited at the batter he got. Lovely homemade food, would deffo recommend. Thsnks for your service and delicious food x

Very Disappointed..... Chips were mushy and looked anaemic! Ordered a Battered Cheeseburger in a bun But received a Beefburger with Grated Cheese On Top? Gravy tasted good but far far too thick, Not impressed Been Going a long time but wont be in a hurry to go back.

Fish and chips isn’t a cheap meal anymore. It’s a treat. So if I want a treat, I want it to be good.It was my first trip to V. Gorman’s.Very clean and inviting shop. Professional and friendly staff.Freshly fried fish to order (in my case Haddock). I was offered extra batter a a chunk of lemon (gratefully accepted)The fish was fresh and very tasty. Very disappointed with the length of time taken to get our lunch today. Ordered our lunch at 12 15 & told it was gonna be 45 mins at latest. It never arrived until 1 45. If id known it was gonna take that long i could have walked to shop & got it quicker & i live in fallowfield beside the block & tackle pub

Amazing food and very friendly staff. Personally I would recomend the battered cheese burger. If you are ordering for two people I would get one portion of chips as one portion is very large.

Lovely food and service, a little bit pricey but isn't everything these days. Nice friendly staff too.

My kids always choose V Gormans when it comes to Takeaway treat days. My daughter is 10 and used to get the cod bites but now she prefers the small fish and chips. My son's chips are always large enough for him to share with a friend too. Never greasy. Good quality food from a company who have never got my order wrong. Staff are excellent, consistent and work hard - they know their regulars, especially the elderly people who pop by too. It's beautiful. Definitely worth a visit - p.s. the gravy is AMAZING too

Popped passed on the off chance on good Friday and got the Extra Large Cod, Mushy Peas and some Tartare sauce…… If Jesus ever pops back, this is where he’s getting his fish from, it was Amazing. Split the XL between two of us and it was a perfect size meal, mushy peas were unreal and the part are sauce was beautiful… topped off with a slice of lemon, best unplanned Meal ever. Always super friendly, nice welcoming place to go.

The absolute best chip shop around. We have had the cod bites, cheese pattie, corned beef pattie, burger and fish (working our way through the menu lol) all lovely. The patties are made in the shop not bought in. Never had a bad meal.
