Stopped off on the way through for food and tuned out to be a great choice. Great service, fast and very tasty food. We had the Scampi and Buttermilk Chicken which were both very good.

A friendly pub with good beer. Enjoyed a lovely steak and kidney pie at a reasonable price.

Amazing little bar and b&b in Corbridge. Serves great food and has a fantastic range of real ales as well.

This would be a superb place to stay if the parent company invested some money and resources in it. The staff couldn't have been nicer but the place itself is in dire need of doing up.

This review relates to the 'hotel' part of this establishment as the restaurant and bar area are good. However, as soon as you go through to the 'hotel guest area' it completely changes to a scruffy, warn out and disgraceful corridor. We booked very late and there was only the twin room available. Although the furniture appear quite new the rest of the room was very tired, a couple of stains on the carpet, one window pane cracked, the window frame dirty and the sash was worn. The bathroom was also very tired, the toilet seat was wobbly and the grouting in the shower was dark brown rather than cream. Another concern of ours was an extension lead plugged into some outside lights, the connection was on a window sill, the window was open and it was raining.

Lovely find in Corbridge. Great looking starters and fairly typical main courses but nicely done. The deserts were divine. Good selection of beers, many local. Spacious and airy restaurant area, which accommodated 12 of us easily on one set of tables, with liads of other tabkes besides. I would thoroughly recommend.

We have eaten here several times.Always a warm welcome from the friendly staff.Food is consistently good and value for money. We will be back again to try out their Sunday lunches since our own'Local pub', the Hadrian at Wall, doesn't provide any pub meals/bar facilities for locals or passing tourists.
