Would definitely recommend. Friendly welcome on arrival. Food hot and generous in portion. Loved my steak pie and struggled to polish off my crumble. All washed down with a fine pint of Black Sheep. After food and a friendly atmosphere this is the place.

1st time visiting. Best Sunday dinner Iβve had in such along time. Plenty vegetables. A nice selection of vegetable which is hard to get some times. meat was perfectly cooked.so tender. Fantastic value. Lovely home cooked food. Yorkies just delicious.I had prawn cocktail for starter which was so tasty. Will definitely pay another visit

Oh we loved it.... it was a sunny π day and we sat outside. In fact the weather was unusually hot for March. As I said we sat outside and went inside to order. We had eaten but I love to go somewhere else for coffee and maybe a dessert π¨ so we did. And chose the delicious crumble. They even have table service in the garden so the whole experience was superb.

A lovely pub where the food is first class. I had confit duck from the specials board. It was excellent. Staff are pleasant, and helpful. A nice selection of Gins available too

Amazing Sunday roast yesterday. Both the lamb and beef were the best I've had in years, falling apart on the plate and very generous portions. Didn't have to wait long for a table (we arrived about 3.30pm) and staff really friendly. Well recommend for a home cooked meal.

Haven't been here in a good few years after a bad experience under a different owner. Pleased to say that tonight's visit was absolutely spot on! The couple that have taken this over couldn't be more helpful and the food was brilliant very tasty, good portion sizes too. The pan cooked salmon was gorgeous and hubby's burger looked very nice too. Also had rhubarb crumble for dessert which was lush, they were super accomodating as we were late eaters which was very good of them. Will definitely be back so much nicer than it was previously. Thanks for a lovely evening

Absolutely brilliant meal. The dinner was delicious. I had fish and chips and they were cooked perfect. The roast dinners looked lovely. Plenty of dishes to choose from on the menu, also special meals of the day were on a board in the dining area. Try and leave room for a dessert, if you can. I had a twix cheesecake with cream. It was presented beautifully and tasted lovely. The restaurant was very clean. Would be better to reserve a table, as the Inn was busy. Plenty of car parking spaces.

Stopped for Sunday Lunch on our last day of a weekend in Northumberland - Wish we had visited sooner!!Really friendly & welcoming staff - felt right at home with a great atmosphere!Food was reasonably priced & as you can see from my photo the amount of food provided was more than enough.Very fresh - could tell its locally sourced - Extremely tasty, Hot & didnt wait too long for food to arrive after ordering even though the place was at full capacity (even the outside garden was full!!Great selection of drinks available - particulary enjoyed the plum Gin πWe all left completely satisfied & would love to return again when we are next in the area!Best Sunday Roast we have ever had - even at home in Liverpool π€
