This is a lovely hotel, but if you book be sure to check they don’t have a wedding or event during your stay. I treated my husband to a long weekend having seen all the beautiful images of the gardens, restaurant, etc, but we couldn’t access anything and we’re placed in a room ‘out of the way’. When we complained, they offered us another stay at a reduced rate, but said they couldn’t guarantee there wouldn’t be an event at the same time we didn’t bother. So disappointed.

went for a wedding and it was fabulous from start to finish. disabled room very dark and a bit of a tight squeeze with wheelchair to bathroom. breakfast good but very slow service. probably need more waiting staff

Food was delicious and service was attentive. Dogs welcomed and kid friendly. Did not stay at hotel but booked a dinner reservation via OpenTable

Superb. Partner and I along with another couple enjoyed a lovely evening here with great service from Harry (not to be confused with Barry, the night porter.)They were quick with service, easy to get to, welcoming to our dogs and served them some dog treats too pricing is high but the quality is perfect for what you'd get.Highly recommend.

We called in during our travels around Northumberland and we we're pleasantly surprised by the diverse menu. The place was dog friendly but we left ours in the car and I'm glad we did as there were some in there that were quite disruptive. There had been a mix up in the kitchen which resulted in a delay in our food but the manager came to explain and offered us complimentary drinks as a means of apology. We had sea bass, a pork chop but beware the pepper sauce it was firey, so glad it was served separately, we also had a chicken dish.A quite dark modern interior but had a nice atmosphere once the canines settled down

Jess is an outstanding member of the hospitality team. From looking after us to going above and beyond for us, truly made this a 5 star review. So pleasant to be around and so attentive and accommodating. Jess made us feel very welcome and radiated with positivity and warmth.Another shoutout to Derek who also was fantastic! Another standout. So pleasant and welcoming.

Brilliant service and even better food. Lovely menu with excellent choices and beautifully done! went twice in two days. Staff all extremely friendly and great for people who have dogs as well as super accommodating for our husky :)

Good food how ever pricing is a bit OTT.This may be to cater towards weddings and other occasions.Drinks bit steep on the old pricing again, a pint of soft drink shouldnt contain half the northern glaciers, if the ice was removed there would be less than a standard 330ml can of contents. (I get it, it's a way wet sales earn, but dam a polar bear could live in my glass 🤣)Over all out 7/10
