Coco & Rum in Redcar and Cleveland

Had the pleasure of dining, along with 7 friends on the 1st. of July, beautiful restaurant and very attentive staff, I had my go to meal (green king prawn curry) which I last had on my last trip to Thailand some time ago, absolutely delicious. Ive been here a few times and on this occasion was disappointed that it has changed from when it first opened. It now feels like any oriental restaurant. Two members of the party had crab fish cakes and both said they did not taste of crab. Another member had a fish dish for his main and to use their words, it was very short on fish, the main ingredient.On the plus side, the service is still good.

Its recommended to reserve a table.We was welcome by gentleman asking if we have a reservation, after inform him we don't, he found table and inform Us when table is need for reservation. We had two hours to enjoy.Food is very tasty and bring to Us in high standard by experienced staff. There is no problem with customise order. House burger is served with fries, burger sauce and coleslaw which is handmade, not bought. I ask to remove king prawns from burger which was sorted without any comment.Cashewnut meal with chicken was really delicious. Chicken was soft, well prepared and vegetables was crispy. Meal was served without rice which we order as a side. One of the best fried rice We ever eat.Highly recommended especially for the meetings. There is no dress code, however most of people wearing shirts than tshirts.

Some of the best gluten free options. It was so nice to be lost for choice with their range. The servers were so polite and friendly, the environment was great and covid safe! We went early evening and it was busy but not packed and food came at such a good time, with powerful cocktails displayed wonderfully. For starters, mains, and two drinks each, it came to £33 a head. Not joking when I say the starters were as big as a main course!Can't wait to go back

Absolutely one of the best Asian food restaurants we have eaten in. Staff were so attentive. Food was delicious.

Food was lovely. We attended for a family birthday and all 6 of us loved our food. Portions were average to generous and food was very tasty. Price was very reasonable for starter, main dishes and plenty of drinks/cocktails that averaged about £35 per person. Would definitely go again.
