Crown Carvery The Mermaid in Redcar and Cleveland

Came here today with the husband haven't been for a long time, needed help so asked a server called Joanne, she was most helpful. Place was a little busy but thanks to Joanne we were soon fed and watered, we had the carvery and a drink each. As you can see we both enjoyed it. Will be back another time

Came last night for tea with the family bingo night in the bar good atmosphere. We ordered our food and lack of professionalism it was like he couldn’t be bothered great first impression at the bar. we order pizzas burgers and a carvery. The food was fantastic for it value the carvery looked excellent and hot the chef kept topping it up and the beef yes it was fatty but melted in your mouth. Didn’t have to wait long for our food. 5* for food 1-2* for service.

The Mermaid at Marske is a fantastic place to visit, the carvery has a good selection of meat and vegetables, you can also choose which size you would like try the ultimate.... There is also a wide selection of bar meals as well, the bar is well stocked with a large selection of drinks from wines to beers and everything in between. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The service was quite quick but the order was incorrect. We ordered the wedges at an extra cost and got chips.Ordered a dessert without cream it arrived with. At the end of the meal another table remarked there bill was incorrect. We checked ours and found the same.There seems to be a lacking professionalism from the front of house to the kitchen.The food was adequate, but I don't think we shall return.

Excellent buffet roast. 3 meats to choose from. Many veggies & starches. 3 different size plates to choose from. Delicious food, brilliant service, great venue for money. Absolutely loved it. We'll done ✔

Went there yesterday evening,usually food is good quality,but not satisfactory for a lot of reasons,and i must add other customers were complaining too.To start off only two meats on offer was and the beef which was on the menu looked too pink,again customers were asking why gammon not on the menu,the excuse was they had been busy at lunch and run out!The vegetables were barely warm,and the roast potatoes were solid and not worth eating.Went to get gravy and several people said the same as us it was lumpy,i ended up with the vegan gravy.For nearly £18 i think the meals we had were very bad quality,as loyal customers,(we also have breakfast here on a regular basis,very good) we will think very carefully before returning here.May i also say that a customer in front of us was annoyed when a member of staff dealt with his complaint in an abrupt manner.Just had a lovely carvery meal,food wonderful quality,thank you.

All you can eat buffet breakfast 😋 Always spot on! Good quality food. Beans q bit watery but my days the fried bread is to die for- literally 😉

Meat was absolutely beautiful veg was ok roast potatoes very very dry and the pork crackling was not edible wont be going again

The calvary is getting smaller and smaller, taste is disappearing, sadly not the same as the pub that fed us during having new kitchen fitted in 14 years ago.... it was gorgeous and affordable then.
