We took a lady with learning disabilities in here for a piece of cake and a drink and the owners where brilliant with her. They made us feel so welcome

Absolutely beautiful high tea today. Can't fault the food or the service

Had a lovely lunch with a friend

·

terrible, having to sit while the person who works there stands and shouts across to the women sitting on the other side. We were made to sit and listen the whole time no one else around. They should of not shouted to each other across the cafe. sit together and talk. You know have some basic etiquette in public. But no he just stood and shouted back and forth to each other. Its horrible having someone stand and watch over you and shout. Oh and basic food and drink.

Dropped in last week for lunch and hadn't realized before what a gem of a place this is. Beautiful fresh tasty sandwiches overflowing with filling (I had tuna mayonaisse) and gorgeous home made cake. Service was definitely with a smile. The quirkiness of the shop is really appealing and you can't stop yourself from looking at all the unusual gifts and nik naks on display. I left having spontaneously bought pressies for some forthcoming birthdays having felt the whole experience was most enjoyable. I highly recommend a visit.

I've had the pleasure of frequenting the Ha'Penny on a regular basis during my recent two month visit to Skelton. Being from the U.S. and a "foreigner" I not only found the tea room quaint and inviting I found Gerard and Julie , the owners to be generous and kind people who have a real commitment to their community. I miss them and Skelton very much. I would recommend you make a visit. I have purchased gifts for my friends and some items for myself. Everything is of good quality and makes me feel good to support the local crafters. Hello
