Had a family meal this week and it was spot on. Great value for money and the meals where massive. Food was cooked perfectly and the staff where great. Will 100% be back but just me and the partner.

Lovely meal. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Pub has been beautifully decorated since I was last in many years ago.

Used to frequent this pub but haven't been for ages . But had lunch there with my partner last week . We sat in the bar with our little dog and beside another couple also with a dog . It IS dog friendly. Food was freshly cooked and very nice , veg plentiful if a little undercooked. Staff are friendly and efficient. There's plenty of parking too. And outside is a big play area for children and benches, useful for those summer days.

Had a great meal here tonight, service was good, food was freshly cooked and tasty and tables ect were cleaned quickly and kept clean which is a huge plus at the moment. Staff were polite and helpful, very busy for a Wednesday which shows they must be doing something right!!

Great country pub atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, and the fresh home cooked food is absolutely delicious, never had a bad or disappointing meal here. Yes you do have to wait approx 20/30mins+ for food but it's freshly cooked (no microwave meals) and you can't beat that!

We have eaten here many times and We are never disappointed. Great menu, with a good choice of dishes. The owners Mike and Mandy are lovely and so are their staff (big shout out to Paul 🙌🏻) always a nice friendly atmosphere and we always feel well looked after. We’ve just eaten again here tonight and I must say the fillet steak is the best I’ve had, cooked perfectly. Thanks again for another great night 😉 5* easy.

The food was ok. The service was appalling. Not once where we asked if we would like more drinks even when they bought our food over. Neither where we asked if we wanted any condiments. There are much better pubs along this road I would stay clear of this one.

Went for dinner with my family on a weekday evening. I booked just in case but only about half full which for a place a little out of town and during the week was quite busy I thought. Plenty of parking which was good. Three of us has Fish & Chips, batter was great and Chips really good. My wife had Steak pie which she enjoyed. It took a while to come as they said everything cooked fresh on order. All in all we enjoyed our food and a nice evening at a reasonable price . We will go again.

What a great find this is. Touring the North East we stopped here for an excellent meal last night. Sea-bass for me with plenty of salad, veg and boiled potatoes, for my wife fruity Chicken Salad, both unique, tasty and filling. Superb service from all of the team, thankyou.

Booking advised as it gets busy in the evening, great customer service, meals reasonably priced.
