Lovely, friendly staff who served some lovely food. An enjoyable lunch in a warm and friendly environment. Definitely recommend.

I ordered chicken which was brought to me then waited 10 minutes for chips and veg by that time chicken was cold you have to pay extra for veg or salad I eat out a lot and my meal always includes veg or salad in the price. So peppered chicken and chips 14.95 then you have to order veg or salad at an extra cost. Won't be going back

A lovely little pub located in a lovely location; The staff are always friendly; we always pop in for a pint when coming home from Whitby; high light of our visit is always the built in little play area/garden/park that; the kids love playing in; so the adults get *chill out time* while the kids tire themselves out a little moreDefinitely worth a visit if you're local; or driving past

Great stop off pub on the way, or way out, from Whitby. Great food. Ask for Paul as we got great service from him. There is also a play area for children. Dog friendly too.

Beautiful Sunday lunch once again. We love it, dog friendly and very accomodating with our 93 year old dad.Best ever home made chips. Lovely bar meals.Looking forward to making our way through their excellent menu.

Ordered 2 standard Sunday lunches as previous visit in November we had ordered large and by god they were large, delicious. Well what a let down, if what we got was standard I dread to think what small was like. The meat was wafer thin, you had less than a desert spoon of each veg each. Talk about disappointment. Dont know whats happened at the pub new management? It wasn't cheap either. Another one crossed off the list.

Used to frequent this pub but haven't been for ages . But had lunch there with my partner last week . We sat in the bar with our little dog and beside another couple also with a dog . It IS dog friendly. Food was freshly cooked and very nice , veg plentiful if a little undercooked. Staff are friendly and efficient. There's plenty of parking too. And outside is a big play area for children and benches, useful for those summer days.

Had a great meal here tonight, service was good, food was freshly cooked and tasty and tables ect were cleaned quickly and kept clean which is a huge plus at the moment. Staff were polite and helpful, very busy for a Wednesday which shows they must be doing something right!!

The food was ok. The service was appalling. Not once where we asked if we would like more drinks even when they bought our food over. Neither where we asked if we wanted any condiments. There are much better pubs along this road I would stay clear of this one.

What a great find this is. Touring the North East we stopped here for an excellent meal last night. Sea-bass for me with plenty of salad, veg and boiled potatoes, for my wife fruity Chicken Salad, both unique, tasty and filling. Superb service from all of the team, thankyou.
