Dog welcome restaurant. Our boys were warmly welcomed and fussed. A half(!) portion of parma chicken was lovely and enormous.The prawn salad with fruit was huge and very tasty indeed. Fresh sweet fruit really added something to the meal. Sticky toffee pudding was delicious to finish.Well done guys! We happily recommend them .

The best cod and chips with mushy peas we have had in an age . The fish was àmazing and the batter crispy and light . The pic does not do enough justice to the portion size and quality

Beautiful cafe. Service extremely good. Meals substantial and freshly made for each customer. Some gluten free also available. Well worth a visit and a return visit. Advisable to book a table. Parking good. Bus stop to and from Skelton outside. Close to the mining museum to finish off a good day out.

Friendly staff, welcoming and good portion size. Had a toastie as just wanted something lighter for lunch. Nicely made, fantastic chips. Would return.

Absolutely loved it.Called in on the off chance as we hadn't booked a table. Not a problem to them.They did say that our meals might take some time as there was a party of 19 in who had just ordered. Not a problem as our food was brought to us in quick time.The portions were very generous and the quality was excellent.Would definitely recommend and we will go back for more!Had a great night, and very friendly atmosphere and staff.

Had a delicious meal here. Everything piping hot and cooked to perfection (Inc proper fresh vegetables). The portions are generous and excellent value. Staff were efficient, friendly and accommodating. The hygiene standards were exceptional with constant cleaning and servers using hand sanitiser and masks (so no worries if you are concerned about Covid). We came here after reading all the good reviews and we will definitely be back very soon.

Treated my Mam and Dad here for their 56th wedding anniversary and it didn't disappoint. Great food, great quantities, great prices and most of all, great staff. Well done all!

Lovely holiday cottages, great food, helpful and friendly staff. Dog friendly too, an added bonus. 1 mile of glorious sandy beach just down the road.
