Took my 2 granddaughters for lunch on a Sunday and I found the food to be good the staff where very helpful and the place was busy and vibrant which is very good to see these days so it shows its a great popular place to either eat or drink.

After reading that this pub is dog friendly, I can assure you it is not. Rudely told to leave the outside area as we had our dog with us. Glad we didn't order now, found a much nicer dog happy pub just a bit further along. Better food and atmosphere too, stay away from here if your in Guisborough.

Usually good but busy tonight bar staff didn't want to be there slow ,unatentive .Found a table after clearing old glasses and plates. Planned to have a couple of drinks and something to eat but wasn't very welcoming at all so had a drink ,that we waited for an age for and left

It's gone downhill this last year or so, not enough staff, food on the floor from uncaring customers. Tables full of teenagers with one drink between them, carrying on like it's a youth club. Parents letting young children run about , while they sit drinking and using their mobile phones! Sadly not an enjoyable visit.

Class wetherspoons. Lovely venue in a prime spot on the High Street. Really good value craft ale and lots of choices. Food is as expected but remains good value. Toilets, as per JD's requirements, are spotless.

Found a lovely table right away with chairs comfortable for my mother's back problem.Refreshing change from other places.Ordered through the ap ( first time ) was easy and delivery was done in nice time.Friendly staff . Excellent food. Clean toilets ( always important) and accessible downstairs toilet room for my disabled mother.I would say for disabilities/ prams etc this place is perfect. Even a lift to arrive on the upper section.

Dirty, staff especially manageress dropped cutlery on floor and could not be bothered to pick it up. We sat and ate our meal and still she did not attempt to clear the dirty things which she had dropped. Everything we touched was sticky and very grimy. There was more staff who just stood around talking than there were customers. Must say the young lady who served me was very polite and helpful.

This is a Wetherspoons so obviously prices are great; however, the food was amazing!! We've had not so great food at other Wetherspoons in the past but this was fresh, hot and very tasty (it was quiet at the time of our visit) - wish we lived closer as I'd definitely go back.

This is exactly what you would expect for a Wetherspoon pub, everything is great. There are plenty of tables inside and out. The staff are all friendly and helpful. There is a huge choice of good food and drink at great prices and the pub is kept clean. We have been told it is better to wait until gone 14.30 so as to miss the rush though.

I was a bit concerned that Wetherspoons don't ask people to book in advance, but ended up really impressed with the calm friendly way the staff guide people in what to do and how to behave so everyone can have a good time. You do have to follow the track and trace guidelines, but if you don't have a smartphone or just don't like the way it drains your battery, you can just fill in the little questionnaire slip. They even provide pencils. 😉
