Party of 4 for Mother's day. 3 wanted mixed grill. "No steaks or ribs left". Great. So we ordered alternatives, which took nearly an hour to arrive. One of the burger buns was burnt, and the fried eggs were like rubber. Some of the burger meat was dry and chewy. At no point did anyone ask us how the food was. Smelly (Ladies) toilets. The food order was delayed due to the bar staff making up the cocktails (from instructions) before submitting the order. Won't be back.

Staff were great, the lady whom I think was the owner or manager her service was fantastic and the gentleman on the till was just as friendly providing that good atmosphere, the food quality was to really good, th me only suggest was with the ribs they could've been abit more saucy and sticky, although good and tasty would've added that extra touch. Everything was delicious and cooked to a high standard with one of the greatest deserts ever eaten it was like a chocolate bar with a salted caramel filling, absolutely perfect. Pricing, food choices, cleanliness and service was way above standard, easy 5* rating, would guaranteed return and recommend to anyone!

Pretty poor experience! We arrived just before our reservation time and the table was ready which was great. We all wanted the mixed grill, and when we went to order we were informed that there was no steak and they therefore couldn't make it. There was nothing disclosing this before we seated. There was also no ribs and no haddock - and the lady behind the bar said to one of the staff that they do not know if there was soup. We rechose our food as our options were not available, but has we been aware that so much was not available we would've left. While we were ordering, the woman at the bar decided to make our drinks as they were going along which meant that our food order was delayed and is just a strange way to do things. We also witnessed the staff behind the bar choosing who to serve next, and picking the regulars - rather than those in the queue first. The lack of queueing system meant this was easily the case. The Long Island ice tea was nothing like the usual long ice teas served in any other establishment. We had to take our own drinks to our table without a tray or any assistance. We then began the long wait for the food. While we were waiting, we were almost served the wrong food because the staff did not know which table was where, and it was not well signposted. We waited almost an hour for our food, and when it came it was all overcooked. The portions were not good and the food did not seem to be of good quality. Our burgers well very overdone and Luke rubber, the bun on mine was completely black and the egg on my mum's burger was rubber too. The vegan katsu burger was just two vegan burgers with slop on. No one came to check our food was good and we were not checked on again in our time there. We have not been before/have not been for a really long time and I doubt we'll be back! They women's toilets also stunk and one of them was blocked.

Decided to try here for the first time in years tonight with my Mum. Firstly, the pub was warm, friendly and well done out! The staff were extremely helpful and polite.I ordered the chicken and leek pie with chips. The pie was so rock hard, if I’d dropped it on the plate, the plate would have broke. There was 1 piece of chicken in it with frozen veg so really not impressed with my meal. My Mum ordered chicken, bacon and avocado salad which she really enjoyed but there was no avocado on it! My kids really enjoyed their meals and finished the plate.I can’t fault the service or the drinks but the food is way overpriced for what it is and mine was inedible. I’ll be back for drinks but not for food.

Went for a meal here, setting was nice, however staff forgot to bring drinks, and food was somewhat basic, no wow factor and portions were very small

Usually a lovely place to eat but yesterday very poor. Lot of choices off the menu. Rare ribeye steak came well done and full of fat (sent back and not paid for) gammon was dry the grilled tomato had been placed on the grill for about 3 seconds. The cauliflower on the salad was burned on top and undercooked on the lower part. On a positive note the bar staff were very good

Lovely pub, food is amazing much better than your normal pub food. Really appreciate the choice available as usually veggie options are really limited. Friendly staff, comfy chairs. No point staying in and cooking at home anymore

Lovely meal my husband asked for ham and eggs but was told by the lady ham had just been delivered and wasn't up to there usual standards fair enough then half way through the meal same lady asked what table is the ham and eggs for favoritism perhaps
