Westgate Fish Bar in Redcar and Cleveland

Fantastic food cooked perfectly and staff in my opinion are second to none always a warm welcome

Make sure you buy large as small means small fish very nice chips very nice small means kids size

Great food at a great price

I've been using this fish shop for years. Always great quality and great portions. Never had a bad meal. Helpful staff and you can ring your orders through.

Excellent fish and copious chips!

We have recently move and currently going through the local takeaways to ascertain which is our favourites for when the kids come to stay, it is such an awful task having to eat the food but someone has to do it for research.Westgate Fish Bar is so far on our list the best, the chips are gorgeous and the fish was the whitest I have seen for a long time, the staff are really friendly and very helpful. This fish bar is at the top of the list for fish and & chips so far, well done to all who work there.

Usually excellent Cod, always fresh and white with batter never greasy always crisp..This manager knows his fish and always customer friendly. Definitely best in the area including Stokesley.

Good fish and chips, they don't come in a box, but wrapped in paper, which I quite like. The fish is cooked to order so its very fresh, the only downside is having to wait a while. Overall the fish is a decent size, a lot of chips, both are tasty and the price is competitive. Parking out the front, not wheelchair friendly as steps into the shop.

Impromptu stop on the way home and we found this amazing chip shop at half 7 on Friday night and the all the food we had was amazing, the fish was cooked and battered to perfection and the chips were just the best!! would definitely recommend to anyone in the area

I really like this chippy as the food is freshly cooked, the portion sizes are good and the cost is reasonable. It is run by a friendly bloke and it also has a 5 star hygiene rating.
