The food from Abbeys is by far one of the best in south shields after being taken over by new management! The foods unbelievably flavourful, light with the perfect blend of Ingredients. Nothing is to salty or nutty and the prices are outstanding for the quality of the food! I won’t settle for anywhere else.

Used to only order from here. Ordering by phone was definitely...fun as they couldn't really understand a strong geordie accent on the phone. Delivery was fast and food was amazing but then it closed for 5 months and I don't know if it's open again? Most I can give it atm it 2 stars. Would have liked to give 4 but I'm not advertising a takeaway that's been closed for half a year for no reason and the only notice of its opening is a paper sign saying 'opening soon' with no date on it

Never go here again. Found metal in me rice phones up and they done nothing!! Attitude on phone as well is a disgrace. Had to press a star or it wudnt let me post! Also not refunding me either iiwill be taking this further Definitel no stars dirty horrible ppl
