Daniela's Fish Bar in South Tyneside

Not a patch on Crozier Street fish shop. For me the chips are always ends and the batter nearly always uncooked on the inside. But the have nice touches with the lemon etc.

Daniela's Fish Bar takes fish and chips to a new level. The shop is spotless, clinically clean with immaculate white decor. The front door's wide and there's sufficient space inside the shop to make it a wheelchair friendly area. Also impressive is the quality of the fish. It's served in a compartmentalised box keeping fish and chips separate. The fish remains whole and unsquashed which is a treat and it's served with a quarter of fresh lemon which leaves a delicious zingy flavour in among the salt and vinegar. The portion of chips is sufficient and very tasty.

The best fish and chip shop in the area. Food freshly cooked to order. Friendly polite staff, excellent service. Would highly recommend.

Taste, portion size and pricing - all make the perfect combination for this to be crowned the best chippy in the area. No parking nearby so be prepared to walk or get lucky with a spot on the road.Queuing is likely but the staff handle this very well and are super organised even on a very busy Friday evening.

Start by saying I absolutely adore this place for quality. Always head over every Saturday for a standard portion haddock and chips. Sadly I’ve noticed the boxes the food is served in is constantly changing and today I opened my box to find the smallest ever portion of fish and a handful of chips. I’m from london so no stranger to small portions but this was an absolute liberty. Please stop scrimping and charge more if needed as It’s incredibly frustrating coming home to half a portion.

During the current climate they have done everything to enable its customer to be able to continue enjoying a delicious fish meal. Being able to pre order, being given a collection time and taking payments either at point of order or at collection makes for a pleasant experience. The food is always tasty, hot and good portions with a good choice. Staff always pleasant and professional. Thanks to you all and hope you all stay safe

We absolutely love Daniela's Fish Bar-we wouldn't go anywhere else for our fish and chips! We love how they have always been organised and mindful of providing a safe service to their customers throughout the lockdowns -but always friendly and efficient. 10/10
