Hill Head Farm Tea Room in South Tyneside

Had lunch 25th June 2022 and, although the food was great and the staff friendly, they shouted across the tearoom at one another, admittedly about necessary things, but are they not aware that customers don't wish to be subjected to such noise, while trying to eat and converse!!

Great place to chill and relax, catch up with friends and just enjoy. Beautiful location, great customer service and good old fashioned tea room. Excellent selection of food to choose from and all home cooked. The scones and pies are to die for.Fresh eggs yummy and always take some home.Added extra is the donkies in the field near the tea room.Well recommended. Once you have been you want to go back.

Nice location with a great view over the sea. Quaint tearoom with local produce. Food was great and good value. Service was quick and staff very friendly and helpful. My mother is in a wheelchair but there was clear access via a ramp and disabled parking outside. Thank you! 😀👍😎

Absolutely beautiful place, you can look out of the windows onto the sea, the food is home made as are the the goods on sale.I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the staff are so attentive, professional and friendly.I will go back very soon definitely worth visiting.

Visited yesterday with a friend. It was busy but found a seat OK with a view of the very cute donkeys. Coffee was nice and scones delicious if a little bit expensive. A few little downsides, not much vegetarian choice, seemed to be an atmosphere amongst the staff. They were pleasant to customers though. Very much an older person's place.Make sure you say hi to the donkeys.

Went for afternoon tea with my sister got there early by 30 minutes but lovely lady came to say she would still serve us. Wow what a treat we had . Cherry fruit and cheese scone each with butter cream and jam. Cheese savoury egg mayonnaise and tuna sandwiches each.cherry cake carrot cake and chocolate cake each.surroundings were very pleasant and cosy and we were entertained by donkeys passing by the window.we purchased home made lemon curd from farm shop on way out. Defo will return

We absolutely love this place! Friendly staff, lovely food and the added bonus of seeing the donkeys happy in their adjacent field is great for the kids. A real family favourite qith us.

Love this tearoom.really nice selection of food, we had chicken & pesto, & cheese & ham panini's served with salad & crisps.,perfect for a lunchtime treat..they do a lovely selection of cakes but we were full so not desserts today..
