Nice deco service good but we were there just after it opened in the evening. Food good and prices reasonable

We love going here their service is great, but the food is outstanding highly recommended.

We had a table booked for 7:30 for a big family meal (there was 14 of us) some of the us arrived 10 minutes early. We knew that we couldn't order until the rest of the family arrived, so they ordered drinks(I was given the wrong drink and even after complaining to the staff they did nothing) and poppadoms. Once everyone was in and settled, we placed our orders in. We didn't get the starters until 8:55, unfortunately I wasn't having a stater so I had to wait longer for my meal, it was until a family member pulled one of the staff to see if the can bring mine forward which it did, when everyone else got their meal I was done with mine, when the staff was pulled they said it was our fault for not ordering when they asked which is a lie. We have 3 separate bills and all three were expensive, it was more expensive than where we normally go.

Tiny starter portions and quite bland. Nan breads were nice though very pricey at £3.30 each. Main course meals were OK. Overall one of the more expensive restaurants on Ocean Road but not as good as others I have tried.

Unfortunately my meal I had delivered tonight wasn't very nice, hate to leave a bad review but feel the need too, lamb naga curry wasn't spicy, too many onions and gritty bits in curry, nearly smashed my teeth, put me off straight away after only a few mouthfuls now in bin, massalla chips all mushy as in a foil bag so the heat ruined them with condensation, mixed kebab, the chicken tikka was tough, the sheek kebab was very dry and bland, onion bhaji was ok though.. won't be going back, had a few sit down meals in here in the past and was lovely.. don't know what's went on tonight but won't be going back.. always a problem going elsewhere, stick with my original curry house from here on in..

Did have any heat to my curry despite being a medium hot dish, but definitely had some sort of tasteless spices in as we many of our party felt bloated and didn't sleep too well that night. Staff were friendly.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish the meals were amazing and the staff were excellent well done came here 19 years ago and will keep coming back

Went with family for a long awaited meal. Totally enjoyed it, has to be one of the best curry houses in South Shields. Thank you the mael was fantastic 👏

Food was amazing and bing with authentic flavour. Absolutely one of the best curry houses on Ocean Road with a well established presence from over 30 years of business. A varied and strong menu,that isn't too overwhelming with choice, means that there's something for everyone's tastes.Interior has fairly recently been done and is very modern. The various TVs on the walls appear to show some kind of Indian music channel which was a nice touch.Only one small gripe would be that service was fairly slow, however I do except that it was a pretty busy Christmas Eve sitting, so I can't fault them too much.
