The Little Haven Hotel in South Tyneside

What can I say?Fantastic place, room size was great though at £78 for a Sunday, you'd expect that.Breakfast was nice, though there was no croissants, pastries or flavoured yoghurt. I was in there 45 minutes so if any were being replaced they would have been.No 4 minute (soft) and 5 minute (hard) boiled eggs either.Meats were down to two slices and cheese had gone completely. Never replenishedI noticed they had kippers for £2.50 extra supplement. Wished I'd seen it on menu beforehand as would have liked to try it.It was self service buffet so only looked at menu when I was bored and drinking my coffee after eating. So probably my fault.Best staff I've ever came accross. They couldn't do enough for me. Absolutely superb.Check out is insanely early though. Its not 12 pm like most places. Its 10:30 am.One thing that did upset me was that all of the tables near to the window overlooking the sea were for 4 or more people. This means you couldn't sit there if you were solo. Rather unfair I thought. That I have to have kids to get a window seat.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, has plenty of parking. The food was fabulous and all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We spent a lovely weekend in the hotel.

Once again a great stay at the hotel. Lovely room and perfect view. Answered our request for a cot and 1st floor room. Towels really good quality as was bedding. Breakfast was the best we have had here, and the service by the team in the restaurant was excellent, made us feel very welcome and chatted to our little boy. Can't wait to visit again. Thanks for a great stay!

Stayed over for valentines weekend with hubby. We both had the steak and a pint for only £25 for both of us. It was absolutely lovely and excellent value. Our room was very clean and even had a couch in it which was great. All the staff were very friendly and helpful too!! We had a lovely stay and we will definitely be back.

Just spent 6 weeks here and I can honestly say I have enjoyed every minute of it and that is largely due to all the staff at the Hotel who made us feel very welcome. The food was always beautifully cooked and presented and served with a smile. We will definitely be coming here again.

We wanted to contact you to say how absolutely delighted Rob and I were with the whole weekend which included the party at the hotel.We could not have been more pleased with the rooms, the service, the staff, the food quality, quantity and price.All staff could not do enough to help and they are a credit to you, including the reception, the restaurant, the bar, they even dismantled the decorations after the party which we were really grateful for.The party itself was particularly special.  The bar staff were really helpful, the food was excellent (can I give a special mention about the pasties, numerous people commented on how delicious they were) you ensured all the finishing touches were in place and it could not have gone any better. The staff worked with a lovely attitude of professionalism and fun which is just what we needed.Paul and Tia on the disco did exactly as we requested and helped our little interludes to flow so we were able to present everything smoothly.All in all it was a total success. Rob and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend.  It also helps that our guests felt the same way too. As you will appreciate there is a degree of trepidation when you organise an event for a number of people, but all went well so it was a great help.And of course thank you Jan for all your help with the organisation of everything.  You have a great team and we will have no hesitation in recommending the Little Haven as an excellent choice for an event or just accommodation.

Went for Sunday lunch and the staff were polite and friendly, I had a starter of tomato and basil soup which was rich and spicy, then for main dish I went for the Turkey Sunday, which came on a bed of mash and roast potatoes with large slices of turkey and gravy and a separate dish with mixed vegetables. Couldn't attempt the dessert menu as I was stuffed. Will definitely be back soon as.

Fantastic location good food, (new menu) I had mixed meat with noodles and bean sprouts, which also had lots of veg in it, very tasty. Partner had scampi which she said was also really good. Try and get a seat in conservatory lovely spot

Nice hotel staff friendly and helpful. Dinner was good and big portions 2 course meal with a drink £22 so not bad price. Breakfast was good loads of selection and they don't skip on portions. Room was clean and bed was comfortable
