Lovely place! Really wonderful service too. Quite an old school pub, very welcoming. We had the pork roasts and scampi and chips. Great portions, well priced, good food. Would definitely recommend. Wheel chair friendly too.

Excellent service throughout the afternoon, really enjoyed our drinks a nd lunch. We had mince & chedder dumplings and the steak & ale pie both with seasonal veg, absolutely delicious.

The food was excellent, I had the sizzling steak, it was cooked beautifully. The staff r brilliant, there was a large party of us and the waitress was very patient and nothing was too much trouble for her. Highly recommend.

Ignore the outside impressions of the Marine. The inside is very impressive the decor fresh and beautifully done. The staff were exceptionally friendly. We ordered the haddock and chips and we weren't disappointed. We were however outfaced by the portions. We were told we could have asked for small portions but that hadn't occurred to us. The pub is popular apparently with real ale enthusiasts having won best pub by CAMRA 2020. It's also a dog friendly pub which is good to see. Highly recommend 10/10
