We had a lovely meal here but were a bit shocked by the inflated carvery price as it was a bank holiday (Good Friday) - around £4 more per person than the usual weekday price. Staff were friendly and efficient apart from keeping us waiting a while when we got there.

Very quiet today arrived around 3pm food was typical Toby choose beef and pork as turkey looked a little dry veg was cauliflower cheese, peas, green beans(frozen), two types of roast pots one cooked in beef dripping(they weren't like), mash pot, carrot, onions in gravy, leek & potato bake Yorkshire pudding all good but onlywarm again typical Toby.If it had been hotter 5 stars service was good oh I took a coffee too which was very poor I'm surprised in this day and age when a quality coffee is as expensive as a pint of beer a restaurant doesn't provide at a minimum a bean to cup ground coffee filtered pour and serve is not a standard anymore once I added the milk it was cold also

Food standard Toby carvery, hot and tasty. Service good, friendly & efficient. Surroundings are where it falls down. Its a bit shabby, needs some work and entrance areas aren't very welcoming. I always think Toby should have a cosy feel, and this one just doesn't, unfortunately.

Went this morning for breakfast. The food, when it came was the usual tasty food. However, not all of the breakfast items were available at the hot plates at the same time so it was a case of having to wait over 5 minutes for the items to arrive which wasn't really acceptable. The waiting staff were lovely but the kitchen staff seemed a bit stressed. Not sure what was going on there.I will still go back because this is the first time this has happened.

Nice buffet style eat as much as you like breakfast. Multi top up tea/coffee, breakfast Yorkshire puddings bit dry (10.30) had to ask for more fried eggs and bread for toast as trays were empty. Good value for money.

Excellent service and great offers for a carvery place.Lots of great offers and the food is enough to fill your hunger.Great selection of drinks and soft drinks. The little one enjoied that night, and she said, "We need to come more often here"The staff is very friendlier and they are paying attention to their customers to serve them is the shortest timeframe possible.

The place to go for cold-tepid food. The last time we went for Sunday lunch we arrived at the start of lunch being served. No lamb available as apparently we were too early! We went today for breakfast and it was barely warm. The bread for toast was dry, not even any sauce or ketchup to try and give the food some flavour. Awful and won't be back.

We have been too this Toby, for a Carvery 5 times in 2.5 years and once for Breakfast.I can honestly say, we stopped going here because the food was always either overcooked or undercooked, substandard. We had roast potatoes looked great on the outside but raw in the middle, Cabbages, Cauliflower in sauce, that were watery and overcooked. We stopped going their, after giving them so many second chances. The Breakfast was horrendous, everything was cooked to within an inch of its life. Sausages, Bacon, eggs all over done, or were reheated from the day before. On Tuesday 1/2/22 after 19 months we were passing, thought we would see if it had changed, NO it hadn't, veg were Ok. Yorkshire puddings, were so dry they crumpled to dust, almost, tasted like they'd been fried in Vegetable oil, NOT traditional dripping. The meat portions were measly at best, half a slice of see through Turkey and Beef, literally the smallest portions ever. The stuffing was hard outside, uncooked inside. Not impressed at all, there were only around 15 people in the restaurant. The service staff were very polite and helpful.Unfortunately I really will not be attending this Toby Carvery again, it's been a disgrace, a complete waste of money.

Went there with my brother, niece and nephew. Carvery was really nice, everyone enjoyed it. Ive never had a bad meal yet, they always keep their standards up. Too full to have one of their puddings this time though, unfortunately.
