Turkuisine in South Tyneside

I rang Turkuisine to book a table for me and my wife who is gluten intolerant and left a message enquiring if the moussaka on the menu was gluten free.the chef called me back to say that it wasn’t but he would make one special for her. We have just been tonight and my wife was very impressed said it was delicious. I had the calamari starter with the best home made tartare sauce I’ve tasted and the mixed grill for main which was very tasty. This restaurant is a little gem of a place the staff are very friendly it has a lovely cozy atmosphere and the chef is very accommodating will definitely be back.

Wonderful Taste, Ambience Was Very Nice. The Girl Who Took Our Order Was Very Helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable With all the dishes.A lot Of Variety In Menu.

Glorious food. Staff first class. And the gaffa is a breath of fresh air. What else is there to say. Oh my date was hot ,very hot.

Had a server called alex who gave us very friendly and great service, was extremely polite and we made sure to tip. Chocolate fudge cake was very nice.

Was expecting it to be better than it was after reading reviews. The pictures on their Facebook page look a lot different to what I was served.The staff were really friendly hence why I rated this place higher than I should have.The two girls that were working had 10/10 customer service!!The wait for the food was very long, however I didn’t mind it as we had ordered a big starter.The food was extremely bland. The starter was mediocre.My main was actually pretty decent, however my partners was not. The chicken tasted like it had been boiled prior and just thrown in the sauce.If you are a food Connoisseur like myself you can tell the difference between chicken cooked in the sauce and boiled chicken thrown in dish.The chicken tasted awful 😣 I don’t think it’s acceptable for a dish that is named “Turkuisne special” was expecting better.

Excellent Turkish food. Polite employees and good value for money. If there was one downside it would be that the portions are huge, however the staff do encourage you to take home if you haven't finished everything

Great food and friendly service, very reasonable prices. Early bird menu 5pm till 7pm.

Had a lovely meal in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Delicious food, great service. Highly recommended!
