Their dinner service was delightful and the staff took great care of us, definitely will visit again.

Delicious food but very slow service and the place was freezing

Love the atmosphere, lovely food, staff great. Given 5 stars because myself and wife like to go for a few hours away from the madness to enjoy great food and fine wine.

Food was really nice but the portion sizes were rather small for the price. Especially the desserts. Hate to have a whinge but the staff made me feel uncomfortable today which is why I’ve given two stars. There was no friendly interactions, we only got asked if we wanted drinks once (at the beginning before we were even seated ) and we were never asked again if we wanted more for the entire service so glass was sat empty the entire meal. The service was incredibly slow it took nearly 3 hours for 3 courses. I could have asked for more drinks as the servers passed but I feel like that’s a basic service skill that was missed. I did notice the staff were very attentive to other tables though, they were offered refills, water for the table and got all the service essentials our table was lacking so that just added to my discomfort. Not sure why we were treat differently but they couldn’t make it more obvious that they couldn’t be ars*d with us. To be honest I wanted to leave half way through. No attempt at friendly small talk was made either. They were a miserable bunch to be honest. I left them a tip anyway cos it’s nearly Christmas but if I could have been bothered I would have complained. I know it’s sad times right now guys and it’s hard in the service industry but come on this is basic customer service. You could at least try to hide the fact you didn’t want us there.

My fiancée and I went here for a sneaky anniversary dinner and it was just perfect!! From the ambiance when you walk in, to the insightful and friendly service, the mouth watering quality and beautiful presentation of the food, to the thoughtfulness of a little anniversary treat at the end (without my asking). Chadwick’s is a must for anyone who loves a bit of fine dining without the pretentious atmosphere 😎

Chadwicks Inn Maltby is a real gem of a place. We were a party of 10 celebrating a special occasion. The staff are extremely professional and the service was top notch. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was exquisite so much so that even a couple of our fussy eaters still managed to eat everything and we all left empty plate. A good sign to good food.Portions are of a good size and the wine pairing was excellent. So compliments to the chef and staff. Thoroughly recommend and 5 out of 5 for everything. I only wish I lived nearby as I'd definitely be visiting more times.

Food was amazing - couldn't fault any of it. Dessert of choux bun was out of this world, coupled with a glass of dessert wine and I was incredibly happy.Taken 1 star off as would have liked to have done the set lunch menu but thought the dessert choices on there were far too limited - cheese & biscuits or ice cream!?! Given the amazing list of desserts available I'm sure there could have been a better option.
