Himalaya Buffet Restaurant in Stockton-on-Tees

Ordered £38 worth of food for delivery. Food turned up after an hour and they had missed off 2 starters and 2 mains. Rang jolsha who were no help. Explained that we wanted a full new order sending out because by the time the mains and starters arrive the other half of the order would be cold. After a few minutes we told him we wanted a refund which he refused. I ended up going down to jolshas, given the food back that they had delivered and said I wanted a refund. The boss refused, gave no explanation or apologised. Said they can’t give us cash because they don’t do cash ( lie ) and they can’t refund onto my card. Shocking customer service. Avoid at all costs.

Food good, price reasonable and staff friendly. Reserved online out of hours and received a notification shortly after they opened to confirm. Would recommend.

First Time and Last Time, ordered online, waiting time to pick up was ridiculous, chicken tikka balti was full of frozen veg and so oily, vindaloo was not spicy at all. Not the best, my advice try somewhere else!

Delivery was 4 hours late. I was told a refund wasn’t possible and that next time I place an order it will be on the house. Tonight I went to place the order and was told there’s no record of that agreement and no manager is available to help. An absolute joke from what used to be a solid Indian takeaway.

Been going here for a while. I’ve had some really nice curry. Some of the best but more and more lately as each time I come my opinion has dwindled but tonight has just put the icing on the cake. I have had dietary issues so I changed to vegetarian. I’ve asked for this for the last few months but stipulated to have green vegetables like spinach & okra. I’ve had a nice lamb & okra in past but since asking for Veg they literally gave me one piece of okra and filled the rest with potato. I complained tonight and they said literally potato was the vegetarian option! I think this is literally disgraceful to use the cheapest vegetable and charge £8-9 for a curry. I well never come here again and I said if you can’t make me a vegetarian version with fresh vegetables I’ll go elsewhere and they were happy with that. Seems like each time I go I’m a burden. Customer service is abysmal Please do yourself a favour and save your money from this unappreciative establishment! Especially vegetarians!

Went there with my other half the food was lovely the service was great friendly people in there

Five of us were at jolsha on Saturday evening 2nd of April , the service was dismal , our waiter that served the food had his thumb in our meals and my prawn cocktail starter had only one prawn , when I complained, the waiter laughed ! Won’t be going back there , there are much better Indian restaurants in Stockton

Absolutely shocking service. Were told 90 minutes for delivery. Long enough, but given the fact it's Saturday we were okay about it. 2 hours later still no show. 2 hours and 15 minutes it took.We had to reheat the chips and the rice was freezing. Needs addressing ASAP

Ordered delivery it was late , food tepid at best. Could hardly find any chicken in the vast amount of sauce, which wasn't very nice at all. Rice far to sweet . I can't understand why people rave about this place . I definitely wont be giving it a 2nd chance . Had better curries from Wetherspoons

Visited with friends on a Saturday night. Food was good and no delays. Restaurant could do with better ventilation especially with Covid, became very hot and stuffy. No windows or doors open.
